Unfortunately not. Closed in about 2009/2010. Mont Olympos up on the hill is still there though!

Yeah, it's those crossover places that I'm more familiar with, the ones that are in spitting distance of NY. Also anything en route to the Meadowlands.

Haven't been much toward Morristown except for passing through

Park Ridge too! Montvale etc, up on the northern end

I'm in Westchester NY, so admittedly skewed toward this side of the river? But I know that I've had Challah in Paramus as well as on McLean Ave in Yonkers/Woodlawn

For me it's the Challah French Toast, and that's the best thing for me to introduce to people not from the NY/NJ area.

"You haven't had Challah before? Oh boy, I love getting to be here for a first experience like this"

I had one year, 11th grade, in a private Catholic school, and the next year I went back to French.

I hope that beyond all the incredible, nerdy, amazing things that he does, Brennan Lee Mulligan is known for two things: Being an awesome dad and this quote.

A black shirt with white writing in so many fonts, and red for emphasis. The Quote of the text is from Brennan Lee Mulligan during an episode of Dimension 20.

"Laws are threats made by the dominant socioeconomic ethinic group in a given Nation; it's just a promise of violence that's enacted and police are basically an occupying army, you know what I mean? You guys wanna make some bacon?"

There is a little drawing of bacon anthropomorphized to have a hand making a peace sign, included on the bottom right (to the viewer, left when worn) of the shirt.

On the bottom of the image is "All profits will go to the Coalition for Human Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA)" the shirt is available on dropout.tv 's store.

I dunno but I'm in, and this shirt is part of why.

Link for the shirt, I'm not at all affiliated I just think it's cool.

A photograph of two pieces of related ephemera: A letter with the letterhead, "National Gay Task Force", the address of their headquarters in New York City, the board officers (Frances Doughty, David Rothenberg) and Executive Director, (Bruce Voeller, Ph. D.). Written by hand in blue ink in the middle of the page is,

"Bill -
With our compliments. " and Initials B(V) at the signature line.
There is a tag line beneath in the footer which says in black font, "It's time."

On top of the letter is a business card, with a styalized "it's time" on the side decoratively. Hand-written is the name "J. William Bordeau" followed by printed, "is a Charter Member of The National Gay Task Force." Beneath which are the names of the founders of the Task Force (Howard Brown, MD; Gregory Dawson; Ronald Gold; Thomas Rockhill; Thomas Smith; Bruce Voeller, Ph. D."

There is a watermark across all these in a large circle, which is an "MMC" for Marymount Manhattan College.

For my MSLIS internship I worked on a finding aid for Bill Bordeau, all I knew walking in was he was the head of the theater department at MMC.

Turns out he was a literal card carrying member of the National Gay Task Force, what became the National LGBTQ Task force. His card:

A picture of a pair of ducks out for a float on a serene looking pond. The water takes up most of the image, and one can see bright colored koi at the water's edge, clearly waiting for someone to feed them. The caption on the top and bottom of the image says, int he typical meme font,

"Go ahead go to the pond
Since you wanna act like a silly goose"

I was so annoyed about wrong information on the internet that I decided to make a video about how non-trinary neutrinos move and what quantum tunneling is. Andy Weir may be more bestselling than me but I'm more expert lol πŸ§ͺβš›οΈ

Following the right people on twitter (remember twitter? Good times) was what lead my ignorant head to learn that not only does ALL the good slang we grew up with come from AAVE, but that language was shifting because of AAVE on the internet faster than before, and helped push me to my MS LIS

This is Lori. She was wandering the streets as a stray when she was hit by a car. It caused her left hind femur to come fully out of her hip socket. She’s in severe discomfort and needs surgery followed by physical therapy to walk pain-free again. You can help her below β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

Ok but the way that Lone Wolf and Cub used to look so freaking gorgeous on the shelf all in a row like that. I remember getting Mars and there was ONE spine that was different and even then only a little and it was so easy to spot. I just love how they look on a bookshelf.
