Suprisingly, American still holds out on *not* doing them, but with everyone else starting them it's only a matter of time imo.
Alaska, Hawaiian (yes, they have their own) also have been doing them for a year or so, and more recently Frontier, Southwest, and JetBlue have started too!
Funny. Looks like more than 5mph to me!
This feeling is why I say every Transit Opening Day is the best one.
For one glorious day, our system is perfect and we have it all.
We'll be back to advocating for more trains and more buses, more places, more often on Sunday.
But tomorrow? Tomorrow we party.
Welcome to our corner of the world!
This is indefensible crap from a single Senator who has done some good work on transit in the past so I am genuinely confused here.
The Mosquito Fleet Act is a GOOD THING and the state Senate should have overruled him but won’t because he’s too powerful.
there's a hearing in the Senate Transportation Committee on Friday
Congratulations!!!!

Day 7 of #WeekWithoutDriving
A photo from our (unsuccessful) trip to get the new WSF ORCA card, but having dinner with friends near and far was a worthy consolation.

Day 6 of #WeekWithoutDriving
No transit photos today, as all I did was visit my parents' house via a carpool. In lieu of buses, y'all may instead have a photo of their cat.

An apparent meteor streaks across the sky on Monday in Seattle, adding to the feeling that train fans were indeed part of a special event. (Nick Wagner / The Seattle Times)
Two amazing sights, all at one moment:
“At nearly the same moment the railcar first entered the I-90 bridge from the Mercer Island side, 11:49 p.m., a thick shower of sparks streaked high above the park, from an apparent meteor.”
