MS degree is, for many things, a nice sweet spot — especially if you can get it without paying by leaving a PhD program.

The first full programming language I learned was Julia, which also has powerful types and metaprogramming. Pretty grateful for that experience, it was super helpful when first coming to rust.

Describing LLMs as “basically SQL” is pretty silly. By analogous logic, you could say A* is “basically SQL” since it’s “just retrieving” a sequence of edges. Nobody actually would describe it as such because that’s ridiculous, but people make precisely this mistake with LLMs.
