In fairness, Thatcher and Reagan are mostly responsible for the destruction of 'society' as a concept. Those two evil bastards' slimy tentacles are still reaching into the future to fuck up lives today.

It's all anyone can do. Hope it is unexpectedly better than the last few.

So. What is the relative cost?

Missile v drone.

Iran manufactures drones. It can keep sending them.

I'm just glad one of these men has the nuclear codes and the other has all our personal data.

The USA the richest country on the planet could have everything, the best healthcare, the best schools, the best life expectancy, the best wages, the best pensions.

Instead it has 1000 billionaires with $10tn.

It’s sickening that a ceasefire is only going to happen in Gaza because it suits the timing of the regime change in the US. Whether it’s Biden’s lot trying to chalk it up as an achievement or Netanyahu and Hamas being scared of Trump’s volatility, it stinks that it’s taken this long.

I'm guessing you have never been to the Festival Interceltique de Lorient.

It is ENORMOUS. And great craic. There is a pretty huge community interested in the various celtic nations.

I have been to IoM, Scotland, Kernewek, and Bretagne purely for the celtic culture. Haven't managed Wales yet.

You don't know about the Celtic League obviously.

More like ten. Unionism is in a minority. The real issue is political will. As long as Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael can scrape by without Sinn Féin the preparations won't start. But really, the Union is hanging on by a thread.

Portrait format in black ink and watercolour. View along top of green metal rail of Grattan bridge showing half a dozen copper lamps, on their Hippocampus stands of metal painted green, almost directly in line so there is little to no space between them as they recede. Beyond them is a building, four stories, on a corner, with side of 2 windows width directly facing viewer, and a short angled side of one window width at the left corner edge behind lamp-posts. Lowest story is mostly stone, in pale blues and lilacs, with arches above the windows and a decorative blue medallion between the two arches facing viewer. Above arches and rest of building is yellow with wide figurative bands of blue above and below the 2nd story. Windows are made up of little black panes - narrow, twinned, and arched on 3rd story, topped with triangles on 2nd story. Window arches, triangles, and side supporting columns are blue. Signed bottom right: Liam Daly

Something a touch different for you. I'd originally intended it to be a bit wonkier but I was happy enough with what I ended up with. "Sunlight Chambers" was painted because I can never look at one of Dublin's favourite buildings without again being a small boy on a passing bus. #SpeirGorm #ArtYear
