Are there speakers that are the source of the echoing sound heard at a specific point or is it just any general sound that you want to prevent echoing and being heard anywhere in the room?
Curtains could be an option if no specific source and location.

My wife recently did the circular trail with Joyriders. Loved it. A local, they passed, made sure they dropped into Birkenhead Priory for views into Cammell Laird's and of an ongoing build. Highly recommended, apparently.
