with all the parts that have been added in editing i've officially hit 60k across all chapters. i would probably post the first chapter if not for the fact that i haven't written the intro yet lol. it sucks that i probably won't have a handle on how i want to start until i'm totally done.

i'm so fucking sick of editing. i'm going to cut off my hands but i gotta do it.

i'm literally going through and retying everything that i've already written and basically rewording/reworking it as i go and adding in things that were kind of missing and it's fulfilling! but time consuming.

there's just one lengthy scene with the thieves as a group but this bit from it makes me giggle.

i've chewed through around 40% in terms of editing now and this bit is still making me giggle. akechi is a complete fucking dysphoric mess.

i'm a hypocrite bc i love when akechi and akira get together and stay together but love when the thieves go their separate way as friends. something about friendships ending is really compelling to me in particular idk what it is. just the banality of passing time and how painful it can be.

where each of their traumas/problems end up conflicting in such a way that they're unable to bring themselves to forgive the other or recognize where they're coming from. it's uniquely delicious to my brain.

i actually love when the thieves generally end their friendships but the sumire-akira thing is particularly horrifying in a delightful way to me because i love to consider them just failing to be on the same wavelength and feeling betrayed by one another for completely reasonable things.

me: what shall i write today for fanfic
my brain: what if sumire and akira's relationship just shattered into a thousand pieces and could never be fixed again
me: that sounds Wonderful

oh also just realized i've officially hit 50k on dance au!! this will be my longest fic yet but i'm very pleased with it. i am approaching the end though so i may be able to start posting and finishing editing by the end of the month eheheheh.

i think it's funny that if i wasnt neck deep in persona 5 still, i'd probably be fandom on project sekai and that'd be crazy in its own way. say what you will about prsk but it has a canon trans girl and she's genuinely one of my fave all time characters no matter how they handle the vagueness.
