Now I know! In my defense I had 3 mins to get from the metro, avoided getting on the Camden line, and then took it with absolute certainty that the other train everyone was running to was the right one.

I honestly didnt know that line even went to union station and after so many penn line rides its a miracle that it took this long to make that mistake.
Finally got to ride the Brunswick MARC line today. Not on purpose but it still counts.
Listened to the first 6 innings on the radio, now time to put the tv on and watch what will SURELY be a no-hitter in Cleveland. #Orioles
I think we should skip the next part where MDFF has a few more years of lackluster festivals before going under and jump ahead to it being absorbed by New/Next who would certainly take fuller advantage of the opportunity and the important treasure that is the Parkway.
The film itself (American Stream) was great and would have slayed on Parkway 1. It was funny and fun and what recent years of MDFF had been missing. But no promotion, no advertising, no free screenings for MICA students. I hope they sold thousands of tickets but that seems unlikely and unsustainable
We caught a Friday night film with maybe 12 other people in a MICA classroom on a very small screen about 25' away from the first row. The director flew in from LA and must have been super disappointed. The Q&A was cut short for the next screening but there was no one waiting outside to get in.
I think we're long overdue for some critical reporting on the state of the MDFF. Sure its just a film fest so the stakes are low but there's a responsibility to the surrounding area that comes with running the Parkway and from the outside this seems like another underperforming year.
Adley and Mountcastle must be watching this going man wtf happened to this team. #Orioles
The Basallo at bat Friday, the Mayo and Gunnar challenges Saturday, now whatever this is, its a sloppy team with no identity playing bad baseball. Its early but they look worse than last year. #Orioles
The assholes at cvs put locks on their frozen section like a bunch of assholes.
Buying gelato at the scariest cvs in the scariest neighborhood in the scariest city in the US.
I got the presale code if you want it. But they might make you register first like I did to keep the brokers out.
ABS is the funniest thing that's ever happened.
Jorge Martin won the sprint race in Austin today then completely overshadowed it by crashing a wheelie on the victory lap ๐.
Saw a lot of people in furry costumes while driving through downtown. I love it when that happens which has been kind of a lot of times over the years.
Be careful out there today gang because this is one of if not the worst day of the year for drunk driving around the city.
Same thing at the Safeway on 24th. Its infuriating.
You cant go anywhere without watching someone throw trash on the ground. The cars are driving faster and running more red lights. We have this beautiful, beloved neighborhood and we're running out of people who give a shit about it. Its so fucking hard to watch.
They explained that they did it because of shoplifting and I said but you can have a camera and a security guard but the loudspeaker is trashy and creates the impression that we live in an unsafe neighborhood. "Sir CVS stores all over the country are closing due to shoplifting."
CVS set up a blue light camera with a loudspeaker that blares "THIS AREA IS UNDER SURVEILANCE" every few minutes. I went in to explain to the manager why that was such a distasteful and disrespectful fucking thing to do to the neighborhood and he looked at me like I was insane.
Someone hoped on a boson chair and tagged the absolute fuck out of Brewer's Art. It looks like shit. It makes the whole block look like shit.
The new city connects are bad and the old one was perfect.
Watched Merrily We Roll Along this weekend, went into it completely blind, and im totally haunted by it. I think its the best writing I've ever seen on stage. We finished it and rewatched the first 30 minutes because.. yeah I cant say why without spoiling it. But god damn what a show.
Its not a gift to the city its an investment in the city that could pay for itself over and over for generations and should be presented that way. A plan to strip billions of investment away from the city should be presented that way as well.
But, and here's the question, should the Baltimore Banner, the one from Baltimore, be in the business of selling an idea, and that's what's being done here, that would result in billions of fewer dollars being invested in the city? Whose interests are being served when its not the city of Baltimore?
Its an article about how challenging and expensive light rail would be compared to a bus system which is more flexible and successful elsewhere and a fraction of the cost! The source is the Moore administration and they're floating the idea to gauge reaction and soften the blow when it comes.
Read it for yourself but it really bothers me that this is framed as a choice between two options with advantages and disadvantages rather than what is on a more significant level; a choice of whether or not to eliminate billions of infrastructure spending in Baltimore City.
"There's no federal funding." Well there was 10 years ago so fucking mention that.
Ok but which option is better for Baltimore City as a whole. Which option creates a greater efficiency that will improve the city for decades. Which option would be the smarter investment. What is happening in the world that could make a new fleet of buses exponentially more expensive to maintain.
You piece of shit.
