2 plus Wirtz but he’s not really someone you can have a backup for like that because he’s a bit unique.

So in a team that’s likely to play 2 midfielders from week to week you think we need more than 5? I get trading one of them for a different profile but you’d like to think we can more of less break even if we do that. My point is numbers wise we may not need to add too much.

Were Salah and Mané wingers or forwards? In the system we played they were effectively forwards. I think we need two quality wide forwards but ultimately I’d like them to be able to play centrally as well.

Yeah so as I say it’s one in one out but you’ve got the likes of Nyoni and Gomez there as well. My point is there isn’t actually a whole lot needed to add to the squad to have the numbers in quality. I think a lot of the drop offs this year can be attributed to the Jota effect on preseason.
