I also took a look back into previous reports, what has changed year over year:

* 2024 report: 39% in production & 23% evaluating
* 2023 report: 32% in production & 29% evaluating
* The 2022 report looked back 3 years, stating OTel was used or evaluated by 4% in 2020, 14% in 2021 and 20% in 2022

The latest Annual Cloud Native Survey by @cncf.io gave an update on adoption for projects, and of course I checked were the numbers for @opentelemetry.io : Close to 50% in production!
