"As things stand, the Liberals sound like they are primarily about exploiting the inflammatory politics of migration rather than doing the grunt work to produce a policy that attacks the obvious problems in the present system."

Mr Bernardi said, if elected, his first act in the upper house would be to introduce a bill to repeal the state Voice to Parliament.
Is that going to solve the fuel shortages? Will it help struggling Australians?
Cultural wars seem far more important to this lit than actually helping people.

Ask the thousands of nee home owners how they feel. It's only 1 small part of what Labor is doing. It doesn't suit everyone but eh don't knock it.

Always has been the way.

No. The LNP is against renewables and net zero. Not worse but slightly better.

Yes and there seems to be more fools in Australia these days then I originally thought 🤔

Would the Greens and LNP have passed it the way it was?

So she criticisises the government setting targets. Then she says she doesn't support setting targets in opposition. But then says she supports setting targets if they were in government 🤔 This reminds me of Yes Minister. Wish Clark and Dore were still on.

"The Liberal future should be built on innovation: delivering cheaper, cleaner power and a stronger economy powered by Australian ingenuity, not empty promises.” But isn't this what Labor is doing?

Not just the last election but the 22 election also. Throw in Daniel Andrew's reelection and the Aston bielection and NSW election. All evidence that no matter how much Credlin and her mates carry on their audience is the small locked in voters. The right winged media are irrelevant.

"So, for the last decade, two troubling and related developments are increasingly problematic, namely the inability of many to recognise and respect genuine expertise and the belief by many that social media is the best source of reliable information."

It seems that it's ok for farmers to clear regrowth and in some cases native bushland. But oh no to clear for a solar or wind farm farm is outrageous and should be banned.

Even more concerning is his attitude towards renewables. He's making it extremely difficult for companies and is frightening investment away. Very disappointing indeed.

If these farmers are like my relative then they've never paid tax anyway. Probably been getting a health card too. Super was never designed for this. Farmers are cash poor because they reinvest into their farms to avoid paying tax.

Cancelling the wind farm west of Rockhampton that had been given approval to go ahead by the LNP in December 2024 is another example of returning to the Joe days. His alternative is hydro. Will he listen to community concerns or just build them? Double standards I think.

"With hard-rights dumped and moderates elevated, Sky’s narrative is crumbling faster than their ratings on a quiet news day. This isn’t just a meltdown – it’s performance art, a right-wing rage-fest so over-the-top it’s practically begging for a satire sketch"

"If we focused on our economic credentials.." Handing the Labor government in 2022 with a 6% inflation rate, interest rateson the rise and a huge debt? Wouldn't call those good economic credentials.

With reference to Labor's super tax.
"This is so sinister, and I want to walk everybody through why it’s so sinister because we’re starting to see a lot of pushback in the media now,” Mr Morrow (Sky) said.
The RW media that every election since 2022 has failed to influence voters. 🤣🤣

Inflation down to within the target range. 2 rate cuts. Wages increasing. Employment rate rising. Huge business investments in the renewable future. All achieved in less than 2 years. The voters never get it wrong Mr Sheridan. Albo outperformed Howard, Abbott and Rudd's 2PP.

What do you suggest the government can do that the Europeans have already done?

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

Come on. Sanctions won't change anything. It's like throwing toothpicks at a brick wall. Might make you feel good but nothing Australia does will have any effect. Perhaps you should go over and volunteer to help with aid distribution.

Nationals have caused ‘destruction’ of rural Australia: Bob Katter Independent MP Bob Katter says the National Party has caused the “destruction” of rural Australia. “The National Party … they were the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia for most of the last 20 years, and if there were something that they did for rural Australia, I am not aware of it,” Mr Katter told Sky News host Ross Greenwood. “People that keep going in the media thinking these people represent rural Australia, they have been the destruction of rural Australia.”
