Awesome! @ossoff.senate.gov , you're doing better, but I want to hear this speech from you!

Today I turn 89. I’ve seen this country at its best and its worst, and I know how much community matters. For my birthday, I’m asking you to stand with PFLAG and support the work that’s helped so many in the LGBTQ+ community, including me. give.pflag.org/page/95493/d...
We were down a lot in March too. Driest spring since I moved here in '99.
"Ezra Douthglesias & the Moderate Popularists," lmfao!
There's a good suggestion to split the Justice Department into its own independent branch. I'd also elect an Administrator In Chief to run the administrative state. Then the President can just be a figurehead that rage posts for the ignorant.
Contrary to public perception a huge % of pregnant teenagers in the 1990s were impregnated by adult men. The younger they were, the larger the average age gap between mother and father was. Fixing teen pregnancy was in part a clampdown on statutory rape. That's what conservatives want to reverse.
@ossoff.senate.gov , @warnock.senate.gov , you and every Democrat in Congress should be calling ON YOUR REPUBLICAN COLLEGUES loudly, every day, to impeach and convict this monster.
It only takes a minute, but you have to do it EVERY DAY!
And do all your midterm stuff too. You can do both.
There is no fascist cock the NYT will not suck, and sloppily.
Lina Khan helped Joe Biden set this up, but he never pushed it hard to take credit for it.
Now, with Khan working for Mamdani, he's doing it for NYC residents. And actually telling them he's doing it.
Good policies aren't good politics unless you take credit constantly for them.
I've now seen several posts from Democratic US Senators and House Reps calling for Congress to return to DC, and my only reaction to seeing these is: Do it. Just get on a plane and go back to DC. The House is in Recess, not adjourned. There was a pro forma session today. Go. Lead by example.
Now is the time to speak up, all you elected Dems. @ossoff.senate.gov , @warnock.senate.gov , let's hear it.
A reminder that speech is freer in the U.S. than in Europe, but it is not free... and certainly not for Muslims.
OK, this is very bad and it cannot be allowed to stand. Any lawyers who can point out the laws being broken here?
I do think a lot of these "people" are bots or trolls.
This is worth reading. It's long but so thorough and well-constructed you can get the jist of the whole from reading a part.
Also, as he points out so exhaustively, the trans panic purveyors keep using the same tricks to keep you clicking on every new panic.
Let's keep calm and stay focused.
Transgender rights = human rights.
In many countries around the world, the rights of trans people are under attack.
This International Transgender Day of Visibility, we continue to work for a world where all people can enjoy their rights fully.
They should cover all their lunches and retreats with lobbyists too.
Sociopaths do perceive and understand other people's feelings. They just see those feelings as something to be manipulated to get what they want. They place no value on other people except as means to achieve their ends.
Thanks for telling this story, Ana Marie. I'm adding it to my secret pile of evidence that I too might somehow matter to somebody 💖
No Kings. No Jesters. No Child Molesters. #WeSayNoKings
Or "do all people deserve *the same* basic rights?"
I grew up in Nevada, so I never got the morality perspective. As a lark once in awhile it's fine, it's just entertainment. Beyond that it's like a bad, potentially addictive and rather stupid habit, like drinking and smoking.
I want fully staffed public pools, and libraries that are cathedrals to public goods and a society where walling yourself off with money is viewed as sociopathic.
Just surprised this wasn't already happening.
Kane: "Sure, Trump is destroying our country and trying to make himself a dictator, but Joe Biden was....so old! See, both sides are equally culpable!"
What a clown.
Right? How do you expect me to win if I can't flood the zone with lies and bullshit?
“The placebo response is the expectation of a benefit,” he [Szigeti] says. “The better response patients are expecting, the better they’re going to get.”
I would like to see the literature that supports this claim.
I meant, in a fairly timely manner.
I am always puzzled by these study designs, which seem to assume that psilocybin directly acts on depression in unfairly timely manner.
It just doesn't work like that. If and when it "works," it can take months or years for people to respond to their trip experience.
Wow, second good news story today!
