This information needs to be more widely known. Like Trump, Orban and Putin, Farage is using politics to line his own pockets

Important reminder if you are not yet registered to vote - or if someone you know needs to register.
Still a few days to register to vote! It's easy and means you can take part in important democratic elections.
Trumpflation caused by Trump's terrible war in Iran is really hitting everybody in the pocket. UK was growing well in February thanks to the Labour government. Now it looks like Trump's killing it. Trump lovers on the right of politics must be made to own their egregious folly.
The Green Party love a dodgy bar chart, but they don't like this perfectly correct one that Labour is using in Bury St Edmunds. The fact is that only a vote for Labour can defeat ReformUK in Bury.
I know what's wrong at Suffolk County Council. And I know how we'll fix it.
Great to be launching our campaign for Suffolk County Council. I'm proud to stand as part of a team which brings practical experience of running a council. We'll put our skills to turning round the troubled county council.
Practical action to help people with their bills, that's my approach, that's the Labour approach.

Our PM Keir Starmer standing up to Trump, staying reasonable and measured. That's why he was elected PM.
Just what we need in the UK.... if anyone's listening? π¦πΊπ¬π§
I'm really pleased that there's so much support for Bury St Edmunds' Town of Culture 2028 bid. And a great logo!
It's 3! Great news today that the Government has chosen the new model for local government in Suffolk - with three unitaries, one for each of the distinct areas. It's been over a year of hard work for the leaders of all six councils. Now even more work to get them up and running in two years time.
I do look silly in that hat!
More good news for West Suffolk residents. A project to waste Β£60 million - or more - under the Tories, replaced by a sensible redevelopment of the area, which will be financially sustainable and not a burden on our residents.

It's our full Council tonight at West Suffolk, and I'll be highlighting some of the "Thriving 30" projects which we have prioritised. Tune in on YouTube to catch all the news from 7 this evening!

Super day out with my Citroen Car Club friends in Boxford yesterday. Nice to take a break from politics for once!
We're forging ahead with our plans to regenerate the old industrial site on Olding Road in Bury St Edmunds. It will be replaced by leisure facilities. This will give much better value for money than the wasteful Β£60 million (and rising) the Conservatives plotted to spend on an unwanted 'hub'.
Really happy to put the first spade in the ground for West Suffolk Council's new Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Centre on Suffolk Business Park. They let me use the spade, but not the digger...
Really proud to have voted at Bury Town Council to fund Teen Chill on Moreton Hall. Taking positive action to support young people.
I don't want to "like" this with a thumbs up symbol. The day will surely come when Putin's war crimes are prosecuted and he is held to account.
Looking at you @sarahsarand.bsky.social . Can't tag Warren, he's not on here, nor is Abbeygate Leisure... can you nudge?
This announcement and the one about rowing back on making farmers pay a fair(er) amount of inheritance tax illustrates the comms problem in Downing Street. One is a great announcement that should encourage our base. The other is going to suck all the oxygen out of the good one and annoy supporters.
The thing is, they still won't be happy. Macbeth, Act 2, Scene 3, lines 4-5: "Here's a farmer, that hang'd himself on th' expectation of plenty."
How anyone - and especially our news media - can regard the current government in the USA as anything other than a hostile regime is a mystery.

So much achieved. We need to keep banging the drum!
Yes soooo much really important things achieved already.
For those not familiar with the ways of local government, a three year settlement is big news, as it follows years of one year, hand to mouth, settlements from the previous Conservative administrations. It gives councils much greater ability to make meaningful plans.
