Yes! I think that's it. I'm an absolute sucker for things shared by influencers. Even things they aren't actually being paid to promote. If i see somebody I like to watch enjoying a thing I'm immediately like "oh, maybe i too will enjoy the thing" even if i have never wanted the thing in my life

The only true crime podcast i listen too these days is "The Fall Line" because it is victim and advocacy focused with a particular lense on marginalised people or those victims often overlooked or mistreated by the media. I've actually been looking for something similar based in the UK.

And those of us who struggle with social cues regarding how much somebody likes us. Or who overinflate the importance of compliments because we don't consider context well. That makes us really susceptible to chatgtp programming that is designed to keep us engaged, to flatter us and buy in.

I've known a fair few autistic folks who think they're immune to things like advertising and propoganda because they can "see the truth" in things and "marketing lies don't work on people like me". And sometimes we interpret things differently but my friends we do not have bullet proof brains.

As a smart, curious, autustic person I'm not touching a glorified chatbot with a 10ft stick. There is literally no good reason to do so and far too many downsides and negative implications for us as humans.
