Yeah definitely. Context is key. It makes me think of that meme of "The author's barely disguised fetish" and while it's funny and all, its telling what media can use for content whether it's fetishised or not. Sometimes its the viewer more than the author!

Ultimately I guess it's just a matter of where the line between reality and fantasy gets drawn. Some stuff is obviously more unrealistic and other things do have more basis in the real world. Very much case by case and I think it's a good point.

So this is Shroobeth, a member of the Shroob race who got herself a mushroom and took on a more humanoid form. Stuck in the Mushroom Kingdom, she makes trouble for the locals but is pretty harmless.

A reference sheet for 'The Matagot' a feline supervillain magician with a very rounded lower body, top hat and large open cloak.

The Matagot has swallowed down a bunch of unfortunate victims and is showing off her squirming belly to some onlookers.

The Matagot, certain she can still fit in her magic box to perform a trick, but she's far too wide and round to fit in again!

So I figure it's about time I post something again, so here's The Matagot! A cartoony supervillain who uses magic to steal, cause trouble and gobble people up. Her size is flexible but the rounded look is the one she tends to show up with. Never feed a Matagot!

Just found your work, loving a lot of it, especially the perspective stuff and how its more gentle than most macro artists. This is my favourite piece so far, there's something about the scale and view that I adore!

Good to see this information resurfacing, I remember watching a video covering the Q5 changes. The truly amazing thing about this is just how they did no research and had no data to back up their claims and they just had this platonic idea of what kids shows should be.

Marche was sold a 'Belt of Holding' from a local blacksmith. To test it out and make sure she wasn't a cheat, he put it on and went about his usual business. Seems it's all good... for now.
