Keeping my fingers crossed!

13th completed game of 2026 is Doom II: Hell on Earth (1994). Lots of cool new monster designs and experimental level structures. My only criticism is that stages in the final third of the game were often a bit too long and/or complex for this engine. The super shotgun rules.
The Great Ace Attorney is my favorite! But they're all great games.
Nah, you just know what you like - that's a good thing!
Lol
Moon New York street scene from Pragmata (2026)
In Moon New York, you can find it all: DM, Yolo Boutique, Birds, and more!
As a big Bob Dylan fan for the last 20 years, I can relate. I recognize the absurdity, lol.
Nobody else makes games this way! They've somehow fused an arcade-like structural philosophy (keep replaying to get better) with a very 2000s focus on tight 3D level design and the cinematic storytelling presentation of the 2010s. They make it look effortless, but I'm sure it's very tough to do.
I'm still in its early hours, but Pragmata makes a very strong first impression - yet another gameplay-forward hit from Capcom. At this point, I'm convinced they're better now than they were in the '90s.
Happy birthday, Mr. Hughes! May you acquire a Meta Quest posthaste.
No way!! I didn't know that was a special/limited release - my buddy and I rented it and played through the whole thing one weekend. I'd love an NSO or other modern re-release.
There were lots of folks complaining about this issue in the past (myself being one of them). But on top of that, there are likely more people aware of the issue now as digital services have shut down over time - we should be able to recognize errors of the past and correct them in the present.
Yeah, this is a problem with how people approach lots of things - someone doing something bad once doesn't mean that we should all opt to do that bad thing forever. That's a self-defeating way to approach the world.
Oh wow, that's delightful! My wife is eager to play this as soon as I finish Quest 64 on my Steam Deck, haha.
Oh snap, are you moving on to The Return now? That's a trip.
Thanks - I read that, and was unsure what "restore" means in this context. It could be traditional hands-on cleaning techniques, as you noted, or it could be running it through GenAI software (which may itself not be a dealbreaker for plenty of folks, no judgment). I'd like more clarity if possible!
I don't think we can assume that necessarily - rare masters do sometimes find their way out of vaults or collectors' hands and into the public arena. That said, I share your concerns. Hopefully the original poster can speak to what technology was used to enhance the recording so we know for sure.
You ever read Ibn Khaldun's Muqaddimah (1300s)? Not ancient, but it gives a great look into North African justice systems during the era from a judge's perspective, IIRC. Word to the wise: there's some racism.
Ohhh interesting! There's a lot of good coverage of this in other Abrahamic traditions - specifically Judaism and Islam, which have strong judiciary histories and a lot of contemporary writers on the subject - but I'm not sure about East and South Asia.
I gotta know the question! (signed - a college history major)
Rad!
I can't wait to start it tomorrow!

The Nintendo 64 got a Stunt Racers game?! I had no idea, haha
That's incredible!
Book Bound today at 5p CST on Twitch
TODAY @ 5p CST! Join me as I play Book Bound, something totally outside my usual genre preference, as I relive my time managing a bookstore.
It's a neat proof of concept, but I don't think the series really hit its stride until Double Dash on Gamecube. Tbh I think racing games more or less need to be fully 3D to convey the appeal of the genre.
Noooooo
I love that early Peanuts art so much!
