Picked up, among other things, some cheap Tom Lehrer CDs today, & was singing heartily to old faves in the car. Apparently he died only last year at 97...How did that pass without being commented on a lot? He's an all-timer for me, the snarky ol' kook.
Finally got to the legendary Greg's Greats (Peel's 78 dealer) in Foxton: bustin out, feels like he has every 78 ever, & 1000s affordable, alongside th big hitters. Watching that Girlbands Forever on the Beeb today - not something I've exactly followed, but interesting stuff, especially on the industry and pre-fame side. Glad they got Vanilla in there briefly! Would have expected 5 mins on Supremes>Bananarama etc, but otherwise well worth a watch.
