Not even halfway through January but this is the most 2026 headline.
Honestly, my backlog agrees 😂😂

UPDATE
I have updated my story linked below with a high-quality broadcast version of the 60 Minutes segment that was pulled by Bari Weiss.
Here it is (no paywall): bit.ly/4qn6Jn5
"'If the standard for airing a story becomes ‘the government must agree to be interviewed,’ then the government effectively gains control over the 60 Minutes broadcast. We go from an investigative powerhouse to a stenographer for the state,' Alfonsi wrote."
This is such a misunderstanding of why writers, artists, and designers do research to begin with, which is to find something unexpected, not capture the average or find reference for the default.
And, as always, the biggest misapprehension: We don’t want to NOT do this part. It’s fun to learn shit

Same with sports. I love seeing halftime scores from a game 4 days ago 😂

Facebook memory. On this day 3 years ago Stella Sacco Nov 15, 2022 I am happy beyond words to say that Riot has told me the job is mine. 289 comments 2 shares
3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.
Hm, I wonder where the right was when Biden was President.
If things were so bad, and we were hurtling towards "communism" where were the massive protests?
These dorks are on their way out and they're gonna be kicking and screaming all the way, and all they can do is stalk social media pages.
Do you ever think about the fact that Wikipedia is the last good major website on the internet? You aren't bombarded with ads. It doesn't try to push video on you, and it doesn't redirect you to a scam site.
America is beautiful, contradictory, unfinished. I am proud of our country even as we constantly strive to make it better, to protect and deepen our democracy, to fulfill its promise for each and every person who calls it home.
Happy Independence Day. No Kings in America.
Do NOT stop talking about ICE abducting people.
Do NOT stop talking about the violence against immigrants.
Do NOT let it be a blip in the news cycle when ICE will be better funded than the Marines.
Do NOT throw communities away just because you don't personally feel it.
With video game prices rising, AI is a critical tool for developers and gamers alike. By seeing which games use AI, gamers can save money by not buying those games. @TheZeldaZone@mastodon.social
important life hack for video games
Literally begging you to post about Just Some Stuff. We will see the news I absolutely promise. Twenty people will repost the same exact thing about the news. Only you can post about a turtle you saw
I worry that escalating war with Iran will be used to whip up more fear and hate for non-white immigrants, particularly those of Arab descent, and be used for unjust deportations.
Just as a PSA: needing a distraction is not the same thing as not caring about important issues. Things like sports get people through hard times and make their lives easier when they really really need it. You're not making the world a better place if you try to shame ppl for posting about them.
A Dem lawmaker and her husband were killed by a guy for their political views and it’s already out of the news.

This rules for a lot of reasons, but especially because it dispels the myths that A.) old games were never political and B.) games like this are just stories, they aren't "about" anything. Should serve as a reminder to anyone writing about games why we should be close reading 'em.
