She gave a groan, for she may be sporting a number of serious injuries.

She was still mostly human.
Blood was now dripping from her face.
She couldn't think enough the form words.
She's reading an unmarked book, her face in a stoic scour, as if her brain was firing on all cylinders, trying to process the words she was reading.
"Ya sure? You don't look alright."
"Food sounds good."
Her figure was far from feminine; her baggy clothing distorted her silhouette, and with her duffle bag over her shoulder, it made it pretty much impossible to tell anything about her build outside of her being humanoid.
She took off her steel gloves and opened her arms, offering a hug.
"Want some coffee?"
She heard her phone ring.
"This is Kei."
"I tend to try to stay out of sight. Prevents fights."
"Name's Kei. I've been keeping to myself for ages, so whatever rumors you're guessing I've heard, I probably haven't. I just followed the light."
She pointed to the light coming from the other's room.
"If you're throwing hands, it won't be pretty."
A pair of golden reflective eyes blinked in the shadows.
"Just need a place to crash for a while."
The smell got its strongest just around the corner of the doorway.
She had her nose near Keis leg before she took a quiet step back; compromising her position.
"I'll introduce you to them."
She looked back at her phone.
"There's gotta be someone that deals with this."
She did exactly that.
The smell got stronger as she got closer to the doorway; the source being just in the shadows and just to the side of the door.
There was a faint smell of cannabis and alcohol in the air.
There was a soft click at the door, and it gently swung open, but no one seemed to be there.
"The smell of death hangs for a while. I know from experience. Now that rocky smell; that's weird."
"It's nice to have people that have plenty of connections. Helping Hands is great that way."
"How long you've been back from the dead?"
She got up and went searching from it.
She came back to him, typing way on a text at the speed of a stenographer.
"I got someone looking for a guy. They'll text us back when they get an answer."
It took her a moment to put it together.
"It's from you! You've gone nose blind to it."
She smelt the air.
"The hell is that smell? It's like death mixed with... something like broken stone, but it's not stone."
"If no one knows ya got it, no one will take it. Plus, you'd have to catch hands if you manage to steal my wallet."
"That's only 20 Benjamins. My wallet carried a lot more than that before."
"I dunno. I have a G or two in my pocket still.
"Wanna get some food? You choose, I'll pay."
"I haven't been in a fight. So I'm good.'
"How ya doing?'
"Sup."
