Another nice morning, not as cold as yesterday but still fresh.. Well established beach huts.
The Hampton Inn.
View across to Tankerton Slopes with Whitstable the other side.
Hampton Pier there were cottages here once.
I walked along the sea front to the other side of the town this morning. It's 11,773 steps but that is v good for me. The place is Hampton, there were cottages that were lost to the sea. I used to live on the route of the 111 bus from Hounslow to Kingston & it travelled passed Hampton Court. π
π¬π§πΊπΆ Theme 250 π₯³
Bud Flanagan's last ever recording in 1968. The wartime British music hall entertainer/comedian a clever choice for the classic sitcom.
Theme From "Dad's Army"
"Who Do You Think You Are Kidding, Mr Hitler?" BBC 1968-1977
The last one in this series π.

Probably
Well spotted. He might be the head of the FDA which is the union for senior civil servants. In which case properly appears supporting staff in major committees. But I could be wrong. π
I don't know either but like you I have seem him before. Perhaps at the Covid enquiry? I would assume a senior civil servant in the know giving his nodding.
Well I know you are back to work. Have a good day!
Your journey into the day started well and you should be full of energy

Eurovision not selected π¬π§ (1985).
Alvin Stardust (Shane Fenton) entered the "Song For Europe" competition. Alvin had hits in 60s/70s/80s. This rockin' song came 3rd & like many other 'failures' did not get air play. Vicki was selected "Love Is" 4th.

You may like my Eurovision 'fail' tomorrow. π
Brotherhood of Man were London based. Co-Co entered again in 1978 with "Bad Old Days" which was selected. I posted it last week. I assume most members were from the London area, although not clear.

They are still lovely to make the effort to see! It was a bit fresh here all day, good for walking and low humidity.
Ha ha! Actually been on the Isle of Wight ferry in rough seas. Have a great break, no doubt taking the railway. π
Well yes, but not one of the acts that made it to the finals of the UK selection process. I believe there might be a couple of other examples but need to research.
When we go on our bluebell walk you can tell where people have occasionally sat. I know you are not sitting on them π, but it has been known to happen! π¦ππ

This song was a contender in the UK national for the 1971 contest but didn't even make the final selection.

Thank you Michael, and you. π
The tide much further in & gentle waves.
The old pier head before it finally collapses into the sea. The pier was damaged in a storm in the late 1970s, so that turret what's left of it so far survived 45 years.
The view today across to the Isle of Sheppey, or Kent's own Alcatraz, well sort of. π
Good morning all!π It was another pleasant walk along the sea front, very fresh. We have not had any significant rainfall for 6 weeks. It seems to be a repeat of last year. The countdown to the next hosepipe ban starts. π

I haven't googled so don't mock me if totally wrong but there is something about fictional film baddies and horses. π

The Pie & Mash cafe closed it is now Fish & Chips.

I don't know, they didn't have Kenny as their artistic director, that's why it came 3rd. π
