Graphic featuring text. "We’re working on a plan to provide housing options to DC residents today and in the future. The District has about 325,000 households today. The current comprehensive plan allows for a total of 445,000 possible households. In order to keep housing prices from rising relative to inflation, OP estimates that we will need at least 460,000 households by 2050. Our proposed plan expands on the current comprehensive plan by adding capacity for 15,000 households. This brings DC’s housing capacity to 460,000 households by 2050. In order to keep housing prices from rising relative to inflation, OP estimates that we will need at least 460,000 households by 2050.
