But some reason, I think this ceasefire holds. The IDF isn’t acting like an army that’s gearing up for round two in Gaza. I think they sense the end is near.

Big career update: I was selected to partake in the John Quincy Adams Society Marcellus Policy Fellowship this spring. My policy research will focus on how U.S. non profits funding settlement growth in the occupied West Bank endanger Palestinian lives and undermine U.S. interests.

Saeb Erekat was the last functioning piece of the PLO. His diplomatic prowess and ability to articulate the Palestinian struggle to a variety of audiences is sorely missed. The PLO in its current form does not have anyone who can even compare to Saeb.

The Palestinian economy is in dire straits. We have no economic sovereignty and rely solely upon what Israel allows. Palestinian leadership has no way of maneuvering around the constraints of the Israeli occupation. I fear this may push the occupied West Bank over the edge.
