In a nutshell. 😊
The rapey man-baby isn't going to like this. No doubt he'll post an incoherent rant.

Same. Sister in Port Alberni. Sad.
For how long will the US allow itself to be ruled by a megalomaniac and madman?
The evidence is screaming. The silence is deafening.

THE POPE RESPONDS TO TRUMP: "Blessed are the peacemakers… I don't think the message of the gospel is meant to be abused in the way some are doing it."
The guy Christian nationalists are using to impose a theocracy on 🇺🇸 is beefing with the carrier of the actual message of Jesus
Jeebuz you’re easy. Not even sport. Good thing our successful, educated and not whiny children and grandchildren make this world a better place. Not as much machismo as you think you have Jose!
No need. Still got my mop and thank you for your interest in my affection for my bride of almost 50 years! We meet at the Starbucks by the way. Like watching you all drinking those lattes!
No time…Have to attend monthly Mess Up Whipper Snappers Lives meeting. Takes a lot of energy to think up new plots. What’ya think of Trump and housing prices? Pretty good eh? Nap afterwards.

21 years later, Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin didn’t just live up to the hype.
They exceeded it.

Yes, was aware. As a preschooler in the early 60s I was enthralled. Loved Jerome and Rusty and the cow jumping over the moon during the end of each show. Should have also mentioned Romper Room and the Magic Mirror.
Pete Buttigieg quote from Heather Cox Richardson's April 10, 2026 Letter to Americans. ⁶
@petebuttigieg.bsky.social is the first American I've heard articulate this reality with such clarity.
As a Canadian, I can report it is 100% true.
Thanks @hcrichardson.bsky.social for, once again, creating a clear and concise record of what is happening.

Pope to Olympic Athletes: “It is possible to win without humiliating. One can lose without losing oneself. And this also applies beyond sport. It applies in social life, in politics, in relationships between peoples, because sport, if lived well, becomes a workshop for a reconciled humanity.”

Glad it was so for you. Hazard of the generation I was born into I suppose. War veteran teachers were the worst when I was little. Publicly abusive. Has faded over time as that gen has grown older and mostly passed away. Always comes back in my head when I have to spell my name for anyone though.
Same. Have been secretly delighted our daughters assumed their husband’s surnames, one English, the other French. Glad to say they’ve never experienced any of it. As a kid, I grew up in a blue collar neighbourhood full of veterans. Early 60’s. They never missed a chance to remind us. Long shadow.
Remember a “joke” from a few years back. Was asked where my parents were from. I replied, response was “oh, my uncle was over there…..In a Lancaster!” Guffaws all around.
Same. Had parents who were children in Germany during the war. They immigrated to Canada early 50’s. Carry my father’s surname. Had lots of people remind me throughout my life.
