City women made hard work of that match. Probably deserved the win overall. But I thought there were a few sloppy performances from some of them

Ok it was a backs against the wall performance from City. But what really pleased me. Was it allowed us to see the strengths of Haaland & Doku. When they have lots of space to run into. They will be deadly when they are given space.rather than being surrounded and blocked off by opposition bodies

I think he will be gone by tomorrow night. Wouldn’t surprise me if West Ham,already have his replacement lined up

Tolmie just said on X to ignore it that report. As simply Savinho wants the move and City just want more money. Fab Romano also said in last hour that no change Spurs want both Eze & Savinho to replace Maddison & Son and Spurs are currently continuing talks for both

With Reijnders and Rodri behind them and a back 4 of Ait-Nouri,Gvardiol,Dias and if no new right back comes in. I hope Pep gives Khusanov a few games there. But I would much prefer a proper quick up and down the flank right wing back. Fingers crossed City address that position

I’m happy with City’s attacking options. It looks exciting, but more contribution is needed from the likes of Doku & Savinho. The options Pep has now in attack is frightening. I hope we see an attacking 4 of Marmoush,Cherki,Savinho or Foden with Haaland leading the line at some point

better. Foden was disappointing last season he wasn’t the only one. But I’m sure Foden will bounce back this season

The teams that will compete for trophies, this season. I’m sure will have contributions from all over the pitch. Players that a clinical in the moment. Too many see City players were far off that level last season. City wingers were very poor last season. Had they contributed more City might have

Totally agree with all you said Tone. I just hope standards will be raised from a few in the squad, after last seasons up and down season. We can’t win everything and I expect a team to have a drop off at some point. But some players really let themselves and Pep down last season

As it showed recently against Al-Hilal at the CWC. That Pep is still struggling to deal with opposition transitions. Teams in PL will exploit that weakness again. If Pep continues to play Gundogan & Bernardo in midfield. Then that will be a huge worry

The centre backs don’t fill me with confidence. Apart from Gvardiol who I trust. The others now are either injury prone or error prone. Pep is still being loyal it seems to the likes of Gundogan,Stones & Bernardo.I think they will struggle this coming season. As City’s rivals are younger & stronger

The wingers Doku & Savinho, don’t fill me with confidence. Not enough end product last season and not clinical enough and don’t contribute enough with assists or goals. The Right back position is now a worry. As well as it looks like Pep & City are happy to rotate others there now

@manchestercitytony.bsky.social How you feeling about the upcoming season Tone. Are you confident, optimistic or worried for City. I will be honest I’m a bit concerned, about the look of the squad. I don’t think it’s strong enough to compete for trophies, this time around. So hope I’m wrong though

Also Tone do u think City will add anymore to the squad. I know all the talk is about outgoings now. Trafford is hopefully coming in. Then hopefully a right back. I was hoping a new centre back and a new winger like a clinical finisher(Rodrygo). But I think City are ok in attack, for this season now

I hate to criticise City players Tone. But last season I know Akanje suffered and played while injured. I just felt sometimes he could have done a lot better. You could see he either switched off or just couldn’t be bothered pick up his man or track back. Which disappointed me

I agree Tone, there is going be quite a few leaving probably. I would have liked City sign a new CB this summer, but not going happen. Apart from Gvardiol I’m now not convinced by City’s CB’s. Stones & Ake too injury prone, play 1 week out the next & Dias & Akanji were regularly error prone last season

If both of Gundogan & Kovacic left. It would be worth looking at maybe. But other than that scenario I guess it’s very unlikely. As Gundogan wouldn’t command such a huge fee. The only possibility for Kova is probably joining a Saudi team now. Don’t think that would be a huge fee either

@manchestercitytony.bsky.social Hi Tone,do u think City could go back in for Pacqueta, now he’s been cleared. Could City find space for him in the squad, especially if Gundogan leaves. If it were possible would City negotiate a lower price than last time & possibly offer players in any possible deal

For me he’s been one of the best players in PL this season. If City want to continue to dominate the PL. Then they need its best players. His signing could also have something do with filling the English home grown quota in the squad possibly. He’s one of the best current English players available

I like him I think Pep will make him an even better player, than he already is. Always thinks to go forward and drives forward with the ball. Something City lacked this season. With all the sideways safe passing

I would be very happy with those four signings. Also if Grealish moves then I hope City replace him with a quality clinical winger hopefully Rodrygo 🙏🏻. Also if Ederson leaves then a new goalkeeper coming in too

I just have a feeling and hope it will be 6 in and many up to 6,7 or maybe 8 out. Coming in two new midfielders hopefully Reijnders & Gibbs-White. Two new full backs on either side. A clinical world class winger with plenty of goals 🙏🏻. A new goalkeeper if Ederson leaves

@manchestercitytony.bsky.social Hi Tone hope your good. Do you know Graeme Bailey of TBR on X. He’s tweeted this morning that City are looking at eventual replacements for De Bruyne. Graeme says he can reveal City are looking at Atalanta’s Belgium playmaker Charles de Ketelaere. Available for £20m

That would be my team too Tone. But I just have a feeling Pep will go with Akanje at right back. I hope not but I just think he will. But I was really impressed with Khusanov’s performance today

So hope City win tonight. But that midfield line up,does not fill me with great confidence. I have a feeling if City don’t win tonight. Then many will be pointing their fingers,at the lack of legs and energy in the midfield. Fingers crossed City get the win though

I agree and you can tell Ducker is a United fan and mouthpiece for them.Everything he says about United is always positive and anything about City is negative. I can’t wait for City to get cleared of the charges. As when City do then City fans will make Delaney’s life hell, for a long time

He’s a knob isn’t he,I had a spat with him a couple of years ago. When he heavily criticised.Pep,for finishing 3rd in his first season at City.I put to him that Mourinho finished 3rd in his first season back at Chelsea. We argued he called me an idiot. I fired a load of stats at him & it shut him up

Many people seem surprised by how well Bournemouth are currently doing in the PL.But to the many people involved in football. Andoni Iraola isn’t a surprise. As he is a pupil of Marcelo Bielsa. When they were both together at Athletic Bilbao

Brilliant very lively and gave something different to City’s attack. Plenty of energy in the final 3rd of the pitch. I just hope Pep eventually plays a front 3 of Marmoush,Savinho & Haaland

Huge win and confidence boost for City. But that centre of midfield still worries me. I also can’t wait see a front 3 of Marmoush,Savinho & Haaland, when we do it will be awesome. I think the next time Khusanov starts for City. It might be best to have a leader like Dias alongside him. To help him
