We're repeating our popular course again in June/July
Bringing the Maths of Data Science and AI into the #ALevelMaths Maths classroom
- Blended (4 online sessions + study day, with £350 bursary)
- Online only (5 sessions)
Sign-up now: amsp.org.uk/maths-into-ai/
We've got a really exciting project running next year - a pilot of using graphical calculators in AQA Level 2 Further Maths.
Schools get PD, resources and a loan set of calculators for a year.
Places are strictly limited but you can apply now!
I've lived in Leeds for a long time. I don't really care about trams in 10-20 years - I'd just like a decent bus service now.

There's still time to sign-up for our Bringing the Maths of Data Science and AI into the A Level Computer Science Classroom course that starts next week.
It's 4 live online sessions and a face-to-face study day (with a £350 bursary for attending).

It was surprisingly easy to turn my Kindle into the "ultimate open-source e-reader": I put it on the shelf and bought a Kobo.
Amazon books are locked to Kindles using their own format and digital rights management. In practice I've not found the switch an issue. I mainly use my Kobo now but occasionally I'll go back to a book that I've already bought on my Kindle.
I switched to a Kobo at Christmas and have been pretty happy with it. Especially as Amazon emailled this week to say that my (perfectly functioning) Kindle won't be supported any more. I haven't tried anything other than Kobo store books yet though.
Not sure why you're getting this. The feed is working for me at the moment.
I work with young kids. A life of a five-year-old is so much easier with crossed 7s!
I thought a cylinder was an example of a solid geometric figure with congruent ends and parallel rectilinear sides but then I realised I was trapped in a prism of my own making.
I'm really excited about this new partnership between @meimaths.bsky.social and @casioeducationuk.bsky.social - if you're teaching AQA level 2 Further Maths next year and are interested in using graphical calculators we'd really like to hear from you ↓ ↓ ↓

🏫 Teachers of AQA L2 Further Mathematics - we’ve got a new pilot you’ll want to hear about!
Working with Casio, we’re offering schools a year-long programme of professional development, resources and a loan of a set of graphical calculators.

I have got it for my Kobo (it was 99p) but I haven't started it yet. Thanks for the tip!

We discussed this at #mathscifibookgroup last night. The general feeling was that most of us were still too put-off by Artemis a few years on to engage with Project Hail Mary!
There's also the #ALevelMaths feed and KS5 Starter pack - bsky.app/starter-pack...
If you're new to #ALevelMaths I'd recommend an AMSP course:

Exciting news - we're looking for someone to join the @meimaths.bsky.social team to work on our 'Maths into AI' courses for teachers and students from September. We're especially keen to hear from teachers with experience of teaching A level Computer Science.
