Excited to share our newest publication. Here we test a central hypothesis in cannabis use, does use alter a person's emotions in a theoretically expected way, and if so for whom and under what conditions is that observable. We found that cannabis use was linked to complex changes in emotions.

We found that positive and negative affect both significantly predicted the probability of “unknown” motive endorsement, and this probability depended on the level of positive and negative affect. In both cases, the relationships were quadratic.
So excited to share my first, first-author publication where we used EMA to examine the prospective relationship between momentary positive and negative affect and an “I don’t know” response option when asked about motives for use. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
