Less than $500 to go 🫪

I purchased a printer exclusively to print maps, stat sheets, and resources for my community. It should arrive today!

I felt bad that I didn't have little props to give them, and given that I design everything in color it seemed right to spend a small investment into giving them something nice.

The best change I made to the way I approach painting minis is knowing when to say "This is the best I want to do" vs "This is the best I can do". Comparing my work to full time professional painters was killing my morale.

Now I say: My work isn't the best. But it's mine, and I love what I've done.

It feels pretty great to be back home and immediately trying to juggle 6+ TTRPG groups. Two weeks of not running any Teldramir has felt weird!

My friend group had a tradition where we watched this film every year on New Years Eve. I have no idea what started it but every few years I do a rewatch just for fun and nostalgia.

I've been very determined to hit Master Ball rank with Kleavor. Not just in the team but actively kicking ass.

I've learned a lot about Pokemon doubles over the past week, and it's felt very good to make it this far without using Charizard, Incineroar, or any other big competitive mainstay.

Part of being a good GM is giving your players a really cool item or ability that you think is awesome and will feel so fun and rewarding to use, and then getting really mad every time they use it against you like how could they fucking betray you like this?

The same week the NYTimes was devoting its significant resources to producing this ridiculous piece about Lauren Sanchez Bezos's call for rich people to not worry and be happy, Ryan Hass, an independent journalist in Oregon, was investigating this horrifying story about a death in an Amazon plant.

I've been disconnected from social media due to travel, but today is the day my wonderful partner goes in for surgery.

I have a good feeling in my heart that this time, on the other side of the world, we will finally get the treatment they need.

I came so close to finishing the base coat on the ship before my trip. When I get back I just need to finish the chains holding the gun ports open, and the torches. Then it's wash and drybrush time!
