adults started taking stickers from my basket at work this year and they’re like “is it okay if I take one? 🥺” and I immediately know they’re taking it home for their journal

officially been working at the library for a year now!! and that’s no joke! 🐛🎉🎉🎉

thinking about this again bc my coworker smokes during his break and I smelled it and the memories all came back again. so now I’m the guy that loves the smell of cigarettes bc my kindergarten teacher was the best person ever

my kindergarten teacher had this distinct smell to her that I started associating with comfort and having so many great memories, then years later I realized the smell was cigarettes LOL

we also got some more exciting news today, but gotta wait for it to be finalized to share!

GOOD NEWS my tax return came back in time and had enough to pay rent!! HOORAY! the money we got from y’all really helped us reach our goal so thank you so much! I have some extra funds from the tax return so the rest will be used for food! I’ll close this goal down next time I’m on the computer 🥺💕

Me and Night greatly appreciate all the help we’ve gotten these past few months.

I know its a time for struggle for a lot of folks, so every bit we’ve gotten is a kindness that I hope to pay forward someday as I just want everyone to be able to make it through all this.

on surviving to be able to do anything else. unfortunately life for me lately has been work and then recovering from work on my off days. papa (me) has been trying to get as many extra hours as I can!! this world is just so tough right now 😔 but we're not ready to give up!

Spoofy was doing real well and was very transparent that she was helping me get to the hospital so I'm just like okay then! good riddance!

anyways, I know I don't need to apologize but I still feel guilty for only coming back on here asking for help;; as you guys can tell, I've just been so focused

I'm doing better now! it was a little scary, but I recovered well and got a procedure done last week that's been helping a lot! very thankful for the native hospital so I don't have to worry about medical bills on top of all of this omg 😭🙏

I got to proudly wear a nonbinary flag pin on my shirt and feel comfortable and safe to do it. I saw how excited my trans aunt was to be there and telling me her powwow stories from the past. I’m really grateful to have a partner who shared this experience with me and danced with me during the event

I went to a two spirit powwow today and it filled me with so much joy that I had to share!

it felt great to see so many incredible natives who are proud to be who they are and still participate in our culture together. after everything that’s been happening lately, this was healing to my spirit

I've learned a lot from this after doing so much research and applying to assistance programs. I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to figuring out our monthly budget which has honestly been satisfying! so let's hope next month will go smoother 🙏
