I have bought some bring pink army painter fanatic paint and am hoping to be more brave in future.
Gloomspite gitz bongrot bounder model in conventional red (for the squig) and black (for the goblin robes)
My son likes Skaven, so I'm steering us towards Spearhead. I had some gitz already but needed 5 more bounders so got a painted lot from eBay.
Tidying them up is part of the fun.
The squigs were hot pink. I gave them a purple wash then a coat of red, but now I am thinking, am I too conventional?
Premium creepiness!
Lovely! Where are these from? Second from the right is my favourite.
Thanks! The base is the easiest part - I have a jar of unused (!) cat litter and the flatter stones are good for desert/wasteland bases.
I superglue the stones down, then more superglue around them and a sprinkle of bicarb of soda. It dries rock solid.
Drybrush yellow/grey, then beige, done!
Gryph crow miniature painted in red and green with a rocky desert base
Those hachette magazine issue 1s are too good to pass up, the Mortal Realms one and now Spearhead.
He looks like a Steve to me.
Not sure what to do with the Lord Veritant, it's a bit po-faced the stormcast stuff. I painted a stormcast wizard a 2 years ago and it just looked like a vegas conjuror.
I think menacing with the right amount of silly is the perfect description of the Warhammer aesthetic, and I agree about Tyranids.
Personally it feels like the change to make Space Marines more like some kind of Halo characters (and less like fancy space knights) is missing the point of them
One of those fancy colour printers could do you a nice A4 copy surely
I don't get why they've given the Goff version a John McClane style filthy vest.
Goffs don't wear white, or beige!
And he's a Warboss! They must have laundry grots.
Stab that guy on the ground again, he deserves it
Gorgeous!

Lovely job. What a banner!
That's a lovely scheme!
Those are lovely!
Very tempted to dig mine out now, and fix the terrible nightlords paint job I did on them about 25 years ago...
Splendid space wolves earlier, too!
And the tyranid bio titans!
Impressive as always!
My CURRENT partner is the best one SO FAR
Truly lovely and revolting at the same time, his head looks like a porcelain urinal cake
I had this issue!
I felt so sorry for the Dwarfs, they had no chance. My very next purchase was a box of those Chaos Knights.
The article about converting the Chaos Lord on Dragon (hacksawing a metal mini in half) looked like advanced engineering to me as a child.
Wonderful! Great conversion.
Really looks like he means business, where a lot of the old DPs just look like they want to pose and shout "boo!"
Green grassy fields with brightly painted miniatures
Peak Warhammer aesthetic
Digon teg!
I always found it funny that cofis I know call it *Dre* even if they've been living in Cardiff for years, as if it were the only town on earth.
Delightful variety of skin tones
Dre!
Lovely stuff
This is my favourite kind of thing, great work
Option 1: magmadroth tail (whole thing would be too heavy/get in the way)
Option 2: long lance with three fyreslayers spitted like a shish kebab
