This is your fault, Martha’s Vineyard dinner party hosts. If only you had been as nice as the people on Epstein Island, this poor beleaguered man would still be cited on Fox News as “even liberal Alan Dershowitz.” But not anymore. You just had to take it too far.

The Adjudicated Rapist-in-Chief claims he could bring down the Papacy, the Vatican & the entire Catholic Church overnight.

Pope Leo: "The world is being ravaged by a handful of tyrants...
dragging that which is sacred into darkness & filth."

tRUMP: "I'm not a fan of Pope Leo."

The American gestapo abducted an 85 year-old widow.

Was she one of the worst of the worst? No, her step-son, a retired Alabama state trooper, got ICE to put her in a detention center to deport her because he wanted all of his father's inheritance.

Sounds like the son is the worst of the worst.

Honestly this is plausible, I don't think Trump would recognize Jesus if he saw him on a Crucifix.

THIS--->

"Too many people are suffering today...and I believe someone must stand up and say there is a better way...I have no fear of the Trump administration or speaking out loudly of the message of the Gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do, what the Church is here to do.” -- Leo XIV

The Republican Party used to complain that President Obama used the pronoun "I" too much in his speeches.

Was wondering when Trump would gloat about Swalwell and instead he punches into the Swalwell news cycle by attacking the pope.

Thank you for keeping us guessing Mr. President

Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about “fear” of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart. I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA. He gets it, and Leo doesn’t! I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country. And I don’t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History. Leo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise. He wasn’t on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican. Unfortunately, Leo’s Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested. Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It’s hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it’s hurting the Catholic Church! President DONALD J. TRUMP

In open letter, Asian cardinal warns Americans of ‘moral failure’ over Iran war Filipino Cardinal Pablo Virgilio David, one of Asia’s most prominent Catholic prelates, wrote an open letter to Americans and warned them of “moral failure” in the U.S.-Israel war on Iran.

"If war crimes remain unchecked, if international law is ignored, if bombs continue to fall, if cities continue to burn, if your emperor [Trump] unleashes weapons of mass destruction--do not say: ‘It was not us.’ History will not accept that excuse. And neither will God.”

This was obvious before but there is no absolutely no credible daylight between our government’s calls for mass death and destruction in a war it started and the words and orders of numerous foreign despots who the state dept still claims to condemn

Why Do We Suffer? Ultimately, we suffer because we have no other choice in the matter. The only choice we do have is: What do we do with it?

Read @danbarry58.bsky.social for Good Friday, whether a Catholic of any sort, a Mets fan, or simply human:

"Ultimately, I think we suffer because we have no other choice in the matter. The only choice we do have is: What do we do with our suffering?"

/4. Fourth: Advocacy does have a moral component. Lying about law and history in an effort to make millions of people stateless is not “doing law the right way.” The notion that advocacy is morally neutral or even inherently good if performed according to cultural ritual remains vapid and harmful.

Read all of Leo's Palm Sunday homily, powerful start to finish, warning again that "all who take the sword will perish by the sword” and remembering "those who are crucified today."

This is not the counterfeit Christianity we hear so much about in the U.S.

"This is our God: Jesus, King of Peace, who rejects war, whom no one can use to justify war. He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them, saying: “Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen: your hands are full of blood” (Is 1:15)."

The Algorithm of Evangelization By David Gibson

My take on getting the Good News out amid so much bad news, and in the face of media monopolies and juiced algorithms. In short: if you can't beat 'em--and you can't--don't join 'em. Not winning can be a winning message.

CBS Owner Paramount Pushed Pro-Israel Panels While Squashing One on Gaza Read Justin Baragona’s latest scoop from Paramount land. Plus, the NYT gets caught sanewashing Trump again, and you won't believe how CBS News is spinning Tony Dokoupil's rating flop.

SCOOP from me:

CBS owner Paramount squashed an internal panel discussion on the Arab-American experience amid the Gaza war that featured prominent pro-Palestine activist Alana Hadid – all while holding multiple pro-Israel panels, one that included Batya Ungar-Sargon.
