Nuggetsky had a lot of potential but it feels kind of dead lately

With Jamal Murray being consistently excellent throughout the season, the Nuggets winning formula is remarkably simple: Aaron Gordon plays.
Jamal, have some mercy.
The Nuggets will finish this season pretty comfortably as the top offense in the league and likely the second-best in NBA history (behind only Boston in 23-24).
When healthy, they’ve been much better than their season average offensive rating.
Please find some defense. 🙏🙏🙏
Today’s hard-to-believe stat: the Nuggets are 10-6 this season on the second night of a B2B.
It’s felt much worse than that, but probably because they are 3-3 in the last 6 of these, which have felt more important as seeding has started to matter.
Ugly but actually a very vintage Nuggets clutch victory. Love to see it.
That’s for sure the likeliest outcome.
How many wins in the final ten games Denver would need to pass LA for the 3-seed:
LA: 8-2 or better, they clinch
LA: 7-3
DEN: 10-0
LA: 6-4
DEN: 9-1
LA: 5-5
DEN: 8-2
LA: 4-6
DEN: 7-3
Good move. Saves Peyton for Wednesday against Mavs when AG likely won’t play.
LAST B2B OF THIS GODFORSAKEN SEASON.
Good because it was a joke???
Why would I cry the nuggets won
Nuggets now 10-2 as a healthy team and have avenged the ridiculous Blazers bear hug game
I missed most of the first quarter but this game feels very much like the Nuggets think they can just turn on five-ish minutes of good defense late in the game to put it away. Dangerous gamble.
The Nuggets haven’t been whole since game 11 of the season, but they’ll finally have a healthy rotation on Sunday.
BTW: The only two games they lost in the first eleven were both games the Nuggets missed a game winner in regulation or OT.
Just please give me that team back for the playoffs. 🤞🤞
One of Ant, Luka or Jokic is definitely going to lose in the first round and there will be some very uncomfortable conversations.
But yeah I think the Nuggets have the same odds of losing in the first round as they do making the WCF.
The Nuggets are essentially locked into a seed between 3-6, meaning their first round opponent is (almost definitely) going to be LAL, MIN or HOU.
I’ll take Denver in any of those series.
Would prefer Houston. Don’t really want to have to deal with Luka and the LA whistle.
Betting odds have him at seventh but that’s still a crime imo
Jaquez is a worthy frontrunner, he’s been excellent on both ends. But Tim’s case is as good as anyone’s after that.
Nuggets win a tough, clutch game. Minny loses to the hapless Blazers. It’s all good again
Gut check time for the Nuggets. Season feels like it’s at a crossroads.
Sounds like he’s really close 🤞
I’ve admired how much Adelman has committed to playing THJ and Bruce together this year. But it’s really only worked when they’ve also had Peyton out there with them.
❌11 one-game home stands!
Essentially, it’s the most travel/least rest schedule in the league.
(h/t Adam Mares on X)
The Denver Nuggets have unequivocally had the biggest schedule disadvantage of any team in the NBA.
❌They’ve spent just 44 days of the season at home (the fewest).
❌Their longest home stand (4 games) was the shortest in the league.
❌They’ve had the most B2Bs of any team, and most road B2Bs
It’s why I didn’t watch, I knew the rest thing was going to be atrocious. The Nuggets have had not just the most B2Bs, but also the most where they lose an hour and the most where their first game started later than their second. It’s been horrendous. But you still have to win this game.
The Nuggets should 100% beat a tanking Memphis team, even on a supreme rest disadvantage.
We’re getting to the point that I have to say…well, there are no rest disadvantages in the playoffs, and maybe they’ll be healthy.
It’s bleak but there’s still a window this team can achieve greatness.
I didn’t watch the game. But I uh, have some concerns about this team.
After tonight, the Nuggets will have 12 games left and 9 of them are at home.
There’s only one more B2B but it’s PHX on the road and DAL at home the next day.
Just 5 of the 12 will be against teams with winning records.
Huge opportunity to both build momentum and rest ahead of playoffs.
It’s odd. Doesn’t feel like he’s had a real shot this year.
