I had to request my academic transcript once and surprised myself by having completely forgotten that I’d actually been expelled from computer science and maths. 😂

A network of M5 Macs running a network of LLMs over local mesh network. Freak them right out.
I think they’d serve more as a “this is the kind of thing that can be done” rather than “here’s how it’s done” example. Plus all the world’s docs of course. Just knowing something is actually possible is an incredible motivator.
Presuming you are sending it back to be ripped apart & studied by the best scientific minds of the day, send several MBPs full of documentation, phones (which yeah there’s no network but the modem / touch screen / mems chips etc +bluetooth would blow scientists away) & of course a few smart watches.
I don’t agree with 100% of it but there’s meat on the bones of his argument worth chewing.
We are hiring plenty of junior and senior devs but very few mid level. Not entirely sure what happens to the juniors as they progress. Time will tell I guess.
My focus remains eliminating managers not devs.
Next step get GPT to rewrite it in typescript so it’s playable in a browser.
Love Octavia Butler’s books.
There’s some interesting nuggets there, strewn amongst the straw men, hyperbole, and plain old hysteria. But yes; replacing managers has been my goal since the 1990s when I started down this road.
The core skill people need when using an LLM to write for them is critical thinking. Alas it’s rare.
I was hoping it would be “I know you are but what am I” but that’s eight words.
Me holding my newly purchased copy of the LP “X Live at the Whisky A Go-Go on the Fabulous Sunset Strip”. The cover is a collage of colourful hand drawn faces.
My vinyl collection has re-started. I’ve been looking for this album for years. “X: Live at the Whisky A Go-Go on the Fabulous Sunset Strip” is one of the greatest live albums of all time. And now I finally have my own copy. Now I just need a turntable, amp, and speakers. #babysteps #80s #punkrock
It’s happening again. Time to give up on #llamagrama I think. Too unreliable.
Absolutely beautiful... and deeply inspiring 💙
Done. Worked. But somehow lost my streak. Ah well.
Problem happening now. Australian east coast. So approx 2am here.
Screen snap of Llamagrama failing to load and asking me to try again later. This happens far too often.
Loving Llamagrama but not loving its general unreliability.
That’s brilliant. And now I want cheesecake.

That was fun. I pressed the letter button first because I didn’t know what I was doing and then again by accident twice because I’m clumsy haha. I’ll do better tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this Jo. It’s fun.
BREAKING from us at #4Corners: Former Morrison govt Health Minister Greg Hunt working for a Brethren company which received $54 million in COVID-19 contracts from Health Department while he was Minister. Mr Hunt says decisions made by his department, not him. #auspol www.abc.net.au/news/2025-09...
View from the trig point atop Red Hill in Canberra. The sky is blue. There’s a light covering of grass on the hills and a thin layer of cloud in the distance. You can just see the Black Mountain tower off to the left. There are rocks.
Back in the ‘Berra. Great to go on a frosty morning hike with a friend and his dogs. Red Hill is looking fresh! #canberra
A beach on the island of Milos in Greece. Best accessed by boat as the ladder (left) is extremely rickety. Cliffs, beach, water, tiny little people. Big ladder.
I spent quite some time watching people struggle up and down this ridiculous ladder.
Government secrecy and obfuscation was one of the key reasons we chucked out Morrison and his putrid pals. What the hell is the former Minister for Gambling doing now?

Horrific footage circulating of the National Socialist Network attacking the peaceful Camp Sovereignty in Melbourne. We've heard the main targets of their extreme violence were women.
The cure is to read the Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea. Like Joyce on acid but funnier.
I was given it as a birthday present and only read it a few years ago.
The Sinclair Spectrum display at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow.
Nerding out to the legendary Clive Sinclair. How cool was the Sinclair Spectrum! Integer arithmetic FTW!
How can you not enjoy the last part though when Molly Bloom turns the tables on everything that preceded it. I was literally laughing out loud reading it.
I’ve been meaning to give it a go. Probably the most difficult book I’ve read would be Gravity’s Rainbow which was both hilarious and frustrating. Rewarding however once finished.
