I just re-read my draft chapter on censorship in 1920s Ireland and spotted that I was guilty of the old classic, typing 'pubic' when I meant 'public'

Very sorry to hear this. When I was aged 12, I did a school project on Sports Reporters and Commentators.
I sent questionnaires to a bunch of print journalists and broadcasters. Michael was one of those who wrote back, and his answers included some characteristically funny stories.
