And this week five years later, Mark Morrison was getting a lot of love from the people of Crawley

Happy Record Store to all other Our Price Class of 1991 alumni. Where 35 years ago, there still existed sections for Sound Effects, Rockabilly and Dance Band
One of the all time great #1 singles.
Features half of Led Zeppelin.

I love ‘Shrinking’ on Apple but remain constantly distracted by the framed copy of Syd Barrett’s difficult second album on Jason Segel’s wall

Noel Coward’s diary, 4th July 1965
His solid gold masterpiece.
Never bettered.
Move it to the top of the list mate
Absolutely delighted to announce that ‘Stay Alive’ by @scottrowley.bsky.social will be a Sunday Times Bestseller this weekend.
A huge congrats to Scott and massive thanks to everyone who has bought or supported the book. What a way to honour and celebrate Stuart’s memory
A lovely little vignette from @quantick.bsky.social that speaks to nature of the man. Stuart not David.
But also David as well I guess.
Delighted with the response to Scott’s book. Once again proving that the very best music books cover universal themes that stretch far beyond playing to the fans gallery. ‘Stay Alive’ is, fundamentally, a very human story about a gifted musician ill-equipped to deal with fame. It is magnificent.
Not the best Bond film. But it’s my favourite Bond film
Send me your address Robin and I’ll add you to the proof mail out
Handsome proofs
Congrats @graemethomson.bsky.social
And thank you to Paul Palmer Edwards for design and Stephen Lovell-Davis for his beautiful photo
Out 21st May
Simple. Same casting. The brilliant Robert Aramayo as Mr Benn. He even has the same shaped head.
Love and strength, Danny x

Note for Apple’s data team:
‘Noel Cowherd’ was a cowboy muppet on Sesame Street. Not to be confused with Noel Coward, who was not.
I had the deep honour of being the copyeditor on Graeme's new one and can confirm that it is beautifully, *beautifully* written. You will not be disappointed.
A picture of the Talk Talk biography In Another World and the lyric quote: 'Desire. Whispered. Spoken.'
Delighted to announce that In Another World: The Four Seasons of Talk Talk, is coming on May 21, 2026, published by the fabulous @newmodernbooks.bsky.social. There’s a lot of love in this one.

Every band eventually gets the biographer they deserve and there is no better writer to immerse the reader in the beautiful, singular world of Talk Talk than @graemethomson.bsky.social.
I’m thrilled he’s joined us at NM and delighted to finally welcome this book to the world. Spring has sprung.
The postman has arrived.
Very much enjoyed working on this. Out 23 April.
