All of Ukraine is currently covered with hundreds of Russian drones and missiles.
It's impossible to have sufficient "air defense."
Ukraine needs thousands of long-range offensive weapons to destroy Russian military bases.

At least. I suppose that could be called a "problem." But it's job is to hit another missile, with both going at missile speeds. That's hard. And hard stuff to do is generally pretty expensive. The Navy's SM-6 costs even more.

Trump is saying 17 missiles, not batteries. It would take years to produce 17 batteries.

Tough call. A fine line sometimes between language that offers a clinical assessment of life-and-death national security issues and language that sounds deliberately boring to a mass audience. But it's important to engage a mass audience while avoiding over-simplifying issues in an eye-rolling way.
