War on 45 by DOA album cover
Inspired by Bruce Springsteen opening his recent shows with “War” I am spinning this absolute classic from Vancouver’s D.O.A. War on 45 from 1982! Looks like I snagged it used for $4.50 in the 90s.
Bruce Springsteen is making me a fan... Opening his concert in Los Angeles yesterday, worth the wait to see the transition to the opening song 90 seconds in. ✌️❤️🇺🇸 #Resist
Tomorrow kicks off CHSR’s Fundrive! 🎙️🧡
Apologies in advance—I’ll be posting about it a lot.
With campus stations and local media being defunded across Canada, community support matters more than ever. If you can donate, share, or hype it up, we'd really appreciate it. #SupportLocal
When do you needs them is how that was supposed to read!

Yesterday the NB Book Awards announced their shortlists and I was thrilled and honoured to receive two nominations! Thanks to the awards committee, the judges, and my publishers @gaspereaupress.bsky.social and Chapel Street Editions! #CanLit #NBlit #NewBrunswick
Canada has been repeatedly insulted by the US for over a year, so please understand why the country is not jumping to assist in a war anyone with a brain would have indicated was a bad idea
New acquisition arrived in mail today — a broadside from the legendary Guantlet Press! Printed by Richard and Barbara Outram in 1986. I think I’ll need a wealthy patron soon! #broadside #FinePress
I can't recommend it enough: when you feel like you're too busy to write, put on the timer for 15 minutes and do it anyway. It's the only way I'm making progress in this novel I'm revising.

24 hours? Not this year. 🤷♀️
International Women’s Day comes up one hour short this year. Today, PWHL players who wear 24 are wearing 23 — a reminder that when women get less, the answer is to give women’s sports more.
In the AI game I'm now forced to play in the English classroom, it's not about preventing cheating and shortcuts; it's about promoting authenticity and uniqueness
Framing it that way with kids is really helpful
there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for
So sorry for your loss. Dogs sure leave their paw prints on our heart
A picture of PEW poll on global attitude survey, saying the % who rate the morality and ethics of people in their country as good vs bad, where the US has the worst rankings and Canada the best
Americans: we live in a fallen state—embroiled by sin, cheating, lying, and evil. You cannot trust anyone, not even those who claim to know you best
Canadians: I love my neighbors and my friends!
Congrats to my wife Sherry for her contest win!!

Could not be more proud of you, Team Canada.
You’re coming home with 21 hard-fought Olympic medals. Though what Canadians will remember most is how you wore the Maple Leaf: with pride, with grit, and with determination.
These are the ideas NB is apparently kicking around re: higher education.
Unhinged is putting it far too kindly.
They literally suggest schools accredit… themselves???
Repurpose infrastructure for private development?
“What if we only had two public universities?”
This is profoundly unserious.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
