My goal is to post periodically about the cool things going on in Louisville—specifically things my generation is creating to build more of a sense of community here.

I had a unique opportunity to tslk to some of the folks behind the new Trager Microforest, which you can read about here!

Yesterday the White House announced plans to ask Congress to rescind approved funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which supports public radio and TV stations. This is a serious threat to your public radio stations. LPM receives about 5% of its annual budget from the CPB.
Next, my Op Ed I wrote on her right before I graduated last May.

Schatzel is gone and this will now mark, for some students, 4(!) uni presidents at U of L.
Linking my work I did at the Cardinal about her. She was rarely available for an interview, but we got one!
Firstly, my conversation with her back in April of ‘23:

There's probably something to be said about how the degradation of online spaces by AI spam and the degredation of physical spaces by suburbanization and hyper-individualism combined are gonna lead to people being the most isolated theyve ever been. I imagine this also makes polarization worse.
#kyga25 Kentucky lawmakers may vote to allow unrestricted pollution of the sources of many drinking water supplies. @morganwatkins.lpm.org has the breakdown/map showing where, and how, people could be especially affected.
After losing by nearly 100 votes in 2024, I knew I wanted to continue fighting to break the GOP Supermajority.
Republicans outspent Democrats 8:1 in 2024. They spent over $500k in my race. We must fight back.
That is why I have decided to launch Better Bluegrass.

It is so odd to have this feeling of NOT worrying about U of L basketball.
No watching in horror, no cardiac card moments
I only worry if guys get injured now

It is FEC Official now. I am running in 2026 to unseat Brett Guthrie. The people of KY-02 deserve someone who will fight to improve their lives, something Guthrie has not done. Can you help us start off strong by donating $10 today to fight back?

Reading the news from just ~this week~ on my timeline, and I’m concluding all the therapists out there definitely don’t have to worry about job security.
It said the new administration “may wish to reconsider” such agreements, raising the prospect that it may abandon two consent decrees finalized in the final weeks of the Biden administration in Louisville, Kentucky, and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Kentucky’s education chief is warning of an estimated $40 million shortfall in funding to K-12 public school districts this academic year through the SEEK formula. From WKU: #kyga25

HEPBURN WITH A DART TO REYNE MY GOODNESS
These Louisville uniforms are soooo soo tasty. What great blend of intentionality and history.
Can’t wait to see what they look like on the court.
Some TARC stops still have so much snow and ice that folks with mobility aids have to stand in the street to board. These are on busy roads, usually near intersections. People with disabilities shouldn't have to put their lives at risk to use transit.
For being the NFL GOAT, Tom Brady is woefully underwhelming as a commentator.
You’d think for someone of his playing acumen he’d offer SOME higher level of insight. Am i the only one?
Fans definitely have in-game anxiety atrophy. We’re all getting re-used to staying in a game for 40 minutes, riding all the swings. For three solid years none of the games mattered. Boundaries were easy to maintain. Welcome back to proper sports co-dependence, Louisville fans. Let’s get toxic.
Cardinals’ stock just keeps rising.
After the mediocrity of the Mack era-and then the whole Payne debacle-it feels almost foreign to see this level of success this soon.
Really thinking they can close out the rest of schedule strong!
Asking again whether the City of Louisville’s response to the FOP objection to the #ConsentDecree has been filed. It was due on Monday. No apparent reporting in Louisville media.
There are legislative employees who provide public relations for the Kentucky General Assembly. They do a great job. But that's not what the press is there for. Surely senators Stivers and Neal understand that. ^JC
Shaping up to be a thrilling legislative session.
What kinds of dills can U of L incorporate in practice to get these free throw misses locked down. Geez.
