Productive?! Efficient? Like y are doing something to help the human the other side?!

When y make your LLM to add a detail plan for itself to use and you commit it for a human to review with a commit message that is a line by line translation from code to "human" and a PR description that is again another verbose translation from A to B for 100 lines changes how do you feel?

I think there is a lot we can learn about "how much we care about something" from "coding agent usage pattern".

At least I can clearly recognize it for myself, perfect time to walk out, drink some water, resign.

Today is a good day to stay human

I caught up with Matt Klein, one of the famed developers behind the Envoy Proxy, and had a chat about AI and why the hype machine has gone too far. I think the industry is putting machines over people and the tradeoff leans too far in the rent seeker's favor.

it is pretty nice when you see software so old that managed to keep being themself without trying to do whatever!!

The real win about all of this #llm coding agents #ai madness? Finally people figured out TMUX 😀 At least something good will survive this weird gold rush time

Pragmatic early adopter meets coding agents I like to think I have a couple of “superpowers”… but coding agents aren’t (yet) one of them. That said, I’ve been experimenting with obra/superpowers + Claude, and I have to admit the experience has ...

There are thousands on new skills, plugins for agents trying to get our attentions.

Agents on their own are trying to lock you in as well to be honest!

Anyway recently I tried superpower, I like it so far!

I like to make systems easy to troubleshoot for developers, understandable from business! It means:

1. metrics (system, usage)
2. alerts
3. profiling collection

And such! I am available if you want to have a chat!

They also have a good amount of data that can be turned into public datasets that may force big companies to pay to be excluded or anonymized from but they can think about some pay-per-use at some scale strategy?

I know a registry that is not free for everybody and everything is bad for marketing..

Open source isn't a tip jar – it's time to charge for access Opinion: A handful thrive, most scrape by as companies make billions off their code

Registry like Maven here are in a very weird spot. They are at a very critical spot into the delivery and development process and they also have real costs associated to it. Something that is unusual for OSS

Coding agents start to look like blackhole to me. We used to have README, now we need AGENTS, REST/GRAPH API not anymore MCP now. We used to write documentations, we need skills. Well we used to write code, we do not do it anymore 😅

Well, I just got an email from my domain register saying that I have a few days to renew shippingbytes.com . At this point better to keep it around for a bit longer!

I think LLMs are so effective when it comes to Nix because it is obviously all easy to validate since it is system work based on Linux a very well documented environment but also because it strategy to fix bugs is the one LLMs are very good at: brute force and perseverance

#NixOS user. I complain about it time to time, not #Nix fault, skill issue and env issue let's say.

LLMs are particularly useful to get to something working quickly and when you get to it improvements are way easier and if you look at the value of what you get I think it is still the right tool.

I have a laptop that 3y ago I thought was more than enough: 16GB RAM, 500Gb disk space.

I always under pressure now. Disk is also an issue at this point.
Ok I jump in between many different projects, but it was a problem even when I was not jumping this much.
