Two books, a light blue cover and a brown cover, stacked on a woven matt. The upper, light blue book is Margaret Killjoy's The Lamb Will Slaughter The Lion, which features protagonist Danielle Caine. The lower, brown book is Margaret Killjoy's We Won't Be Here Tomorrow and other stories.

A @margaret.bsky.social for all the family too. WWBHT for my mom, who raised me on fantasy from McKillip, McKinley, and Le Guin. Danielle Caine for my dad, who reads detective yarns and police procedurals. TLWSTL for my sister too, apparently, who nicked my copy from my dad, and reads stolen books.

I haven't read nearly as much of her collection as I'd like (working on that though!), but I started with her Country of Ghosts, and I love that very deeply. We Won't Be Here Tomorrow has an amazing range and depth tho, so also a great start! But CoG had similar energy to the CPwdCT podcast.

Two books stacked on top of each other: first Margaret Killjoy's "We won't be here tomorrow" short story collection, and second Margaret Killjoy's novelette "Escape from Incel Island".

Truly a @margaret.bsky.social work for all needs: stories from We Won't Be Here Tomorrow at 2am when you're up with a fever, needing not to feel alone; Escape from Incel Island at 2pm when you are woken from recovery naps by the neighbour's construction and need to read about people being punched.
