When I was still in Uni, a professor of economics began making headlines with his thoughts about quality. I liked this a lot, until I realized that he mostly talked about how to get away with not offering quality.
Recent software upgrades reminds me of him.

I send my friends videos, but not because I think they will like them, far from it.
I do it because based on the videos they send me, their algorithm sucks. So I send them stuff to get their feed back on the right track.
A little bit of... algorithm adjustment.
Swedes, if you were going to rent a cabin/house in a quiet place in Sweden with lots of nature, in the summer, what would be your top pics?
For how long and how many? I can ask my sister about our grand parents house.

Two large bottles are on a shelf with firewood next to a fireplace. A cat is resting on the fire place next to the bottles.

Kveik is a family of yeast that likes to operate at fairly high temperatures, which is why I let these small demijohns with mead ferment by the fireplace. The cat probably helps moderate the temperatures somehow.
Looking for more responses to this survey. Already some wonderful surprises that make me very glad I'm doing it. Please share for reach...
Doesn't help when they change name.
It makes you really worried, doesn't it? ๐
Nice! I don't think I've ever seen one that's green, at least not so that I noticed.
I'm suffering from a herniated disk since late summer/early fall. I won't need surgery, probably, but I can certainly relate to both your pain and your fear.
I have high confidence that the result of your procedure will be a huge improvement.
Don't be so harsh. He's the best president money can buy.
Right. That was indeed what was said. It's been some time and I forgot the details. Thanks for reminding me.
If you find someone who is severely cooled down, do not bring them in front of a heater. Ironically that is likely to kill them. In survival trainings I was told that this gets the circulation going and very cooled down blood is pulled into the core of your body. Wrap them in blankets to warm slowly

I'm looking for a new gig and/or employment (if interesting enough). Please repost if you can! Much appreciated!
Way to make something mundane appear exotic, I guess.
This was my primary means of getting to school when I was a kid. It was later ruined when they started to pour salt on the roads, making them more difficult to navigate, and also ruin vehicles. Yay, something...

A curious thing lately is that if I ask a question about something I don't know that well, I don' trust the answer unless it is from a person I know, and who I know is an expert in the topic.
A former colleague, who worked on boot loaders, was super happy when he finally was able to turn off an LED. He then had a means to observe behaviour.
Do as Harald says. Present! There's nothing that improves your code quality as much as explaining your ideas to a diverse group of geeks. I know my programming skills have improved a lot in the 10 (yikes!) years since I first stood on the stage at @SwedenCpp Stockholm.
What can go wrong when doing the intro:
Event #60, but #58 is in the same building, one floor below. Guess the number I said ๐
And stumbling over words from a 13-inch screen ๐ณ
Thatโs why we do meetups: do it, review, improve. Free food included.

and don't get me started on managers who cut off unflattering feedback.
Never ever give an incentive to cover up a mistake.
It's better to have an environment where people feel safe to say "sorry, I screwed up", than to have people try to hide it.
Why? Because every mistake is one we can learn from, and if the learning opportunities are kept away, we won't improve.
A young man is facing the camera, he's wearing a T-shirt that says "code babler" in a pixelated font.
A young man is facing away. The back of his T-shirt is XML saying "<bla>bla blla blah bla blah blablabla bla blablah</bla>"
I'm a fashion designer now ๐

Why do they teach us all this math at school when French Onion Soup minus Onion Soup does not equal France.
