If you’ve ever complained about shipping prices, please take that energy and direct it to your elected representatives. Tell them to fight for more funding of the postal service!

If we lose the USPS it’s absolutely inevitable that shipping rates will increase with all carriers. 😤

I'm a diaper baby--I prefer my ships healthy, my characters kind, and my villains redeemed.

but good god the minimal brain cells it takes to know my preferences don't equate to any kind of moral standing 💀 the toxic ships, nasty characters, and irredeemable villains are just as valid!

Up to you! I do hope my comments came across in the tone of "I'm only suggesting this if you're looking for a potential solution" and not a "you need to do this" tone :)

I can see why some people jumped to conclusions, but I agree with you when it comes to commenting without reading 😔

I think there are different branches, imo. There is a lot of genuine puritanism going on but your argument is that it's not *all* puritanism. That sometimes, we want to see good guys win and bad guys lose bc... that's pretty common! Possibly even moreso nowadays, due to current political climates.

When we live in fandoms overrun with purity culture, people are gonna be ultra sensitive to seeing hints of it. Though I understand that wasn't your intention!

(I really do mean this all in the friendliest way possible, I don't think you're pushing purity culture in your article at all)

If you're worried about people misunderstanding your intent here, it might be a good idea to clarify that a bit? This isn't a criticism btw, just a friendly suggestion. I read your article and feel like you might be getting some push back bc your blurb here is a bit misleading, I think?

Ah, you're one of those red-pilled nasty little incels. Makes sense now.

a pencil drawing of Odile wearing jordans standing in a wide stance from a warped worm's eye view. Behind her Siffrin, Bonnie, Mirabelle and Isabeau are cheering her on. Odile has her arms crossed and is holding her book in one of them. She has a smirk and knitted brows, but is maybe also slightly confused about the situation.

AI-generated artwork is officially not eligible for copyright protection after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the appeal.

The court ruled that a work must have a human creator in order to qualify for copyright.

I'm actually surprised how eerily accurate Chobits turned out to be. I think it holds up in regards to the "quiet" stories happening in the background--how there's an epidemic of people leaving community for AI companionship. And yet doesn't disregard our responsibility for potentially creating life

I'm happy to help find your hospital's policy if you don't mind sharing it. They like to make it hard to find, but it's usually found within financial aid pages of their website!

Apologies if you already know this, but just in case it helps--are you aware that most hospitals (which can include buildings not directly connected to said hospital) have to offer debt forgiveness based on your income? It can be as high as 100%!

BREAKING: We're suing Kansas for a law that invalidates transgender people's updated driver's licenses and authorizes anyone to sue anyone they suspect of being trans for using the "wrong" bathroom.

A digital drawing of author Maia Kobabe, a white nonbinary person with short brown hair wearing a patterned blue shirt, who scowls while holding up a copy of eir book GENDER QUEER: A MEMOIR. Maia is saying: H.R. 7661 is a national book banning bill which seeks to remove any book that "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" from all public schools in the US. This would ban my books, and any other book with trans themes, from public schools. PLEASE call your House Reps and say: NO ON H.R. 7661!

it's SO easy to forget this when we live in a society that's conditioned us to be on the defensive constantly

even the most well-meaning actions can cause undue pain if u slack even a little--I learned this the hard way many years ago

it's important we remember that kindness takes vigilance

"why use a good thing if it might be bad one day" idk man why eat that delicious cake if ur just gonna poop it out

so tired of edgy children being preemptively hostile towards good business practices. we need to support honest efforts and not just roll over belly up at fascism, c'mon now

Those sure are some nice words to say. Got any plans of action to back that up and dismantle capitalism before March rolls around? Or is this another "live laugh love" situation

2 months ago 0 0 0 0

Like yes, please, continue to advocate for a better tomorrow. But in the meantime, we need a space to socialize that isn't part of some fascist framework.

Then don't. No one's forcing you.

I'm just saying this is the way things are currently, and you can't *not* give things a try just because software is often ephemeral.

That's a bit like saying "why live if I'm just gonna die?". It's about doing the best with what you're given.

Every product is going to eventually become bad under capitalism. It's an inevitability.

All we can do is support stuff while it's good--then when it's bought by big corpo and shove inhumane practices on us, move to the next good thing at that time
