This! I’ve only ever had it done once and it was heavenly to have the house clean and sparkly when I got home. The peace i felt after a long week was incredible. Highly recommend.

What Does Federal Funding for Libraries Pay For? You'll be surprised!

The proposed budget destroys the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

I don’t think you’ll be surprised but I do think it’s important to share.

Had a retired and elderly nurse tell me once that when all comes down to it, no one will remember or care that you didn’t do the dishes.

This tracks with the complete disrespect and disregard for libraries, archives, museum and both cultural heritage and knowledge in general (unless of course it’s tied to “the 250th” *strong eyeroll*)

A colleague told us they used claude for an upcoming book project they were so proud of. We were in a meeting and i just couldn’t even figure out how to respond. I had to fix my face several times because i just felt so disgusted and disappointed.

Yeah - I didn’t mean to “Not All Americans” you. Mostly agreeing that this is not a safe place. the flags/hat/eagle is so real and gave me a much needed chuckle!

Please. Many of us do realize this. Not only is it not safe for others to visit here, it’s not even safe for some of us to travel outside our own homes. conference travel means potentially risking our lives or well being to travel. I encourage boycotting travel to the US for the foreseeable future.

but if you want something less busy, you could also spend the day in Howth

Alternatively you could visit the National Library (exhibits), then the National Museum of Ireland (archaeology and natural history), and the spend some time at St.Stephens Green (park and pond).

GPO Postal Museum (1916 revolution history and just a great bldg to see) is a short bus ride away in city center & a short visit. It’s also walking distance from the Dublin Portal, the Spire, Trinity College, the river (Happeny Bridge), and a few great local cafes (Cafe Crema on MiddleAbbey).

This is true of the children of first-gen degrees as well. I consider students with a first-gen degreed parent(s) still first gen themselves. One gen of uni isn’t necessary enough to inherit that campus capital

from any perspective we should absolutely be boycotting air travel until this whole nonsense is fixed. And I do mean the whole nonsense from the house to the floor to the markets.

we’ll be untangling this content from historical information and archival materials available to researchers and the general public for the rest of our careers

Two doctors have asked permission to use ai for transcription during appts, then huffed and puffed when I said no. A separate doctor was wearing meta glasses in my appt. The immediate adoption of this damn thing is [censored].
(I suspect they use it for transcription outside of appts anyway.)

I agree, Sinners was better!

4 Oscars #Sinners

• Best Actor MBJ
• Best Cinematography
• Best Original Screenplay
• Best Original Score

So… best film after all, right?

Haven’t seen it but based on the trailers it can’t have been as good as Sinners.

I agree. I had to advocate *very* strongly through two appointments for my mother to finally get them to agree to anesthesia for a cervical biopsy. This was after she had already had one yrs ago w/out and she knew the level of pain. Drs were so resistant to her knowing her own pain.
