It’s also weirdly hard to close, like you have to click the X then click outside it. Apparently if you disable FaceTime notifications then restart your Mac, this stops showing, I’ve not got round to restarting to test it yet.

Ha I just used Cursor’s fancy new agenetic Composer to create an extension which does this 😃. Feels l weird telling it to build something to disable itself, was worried it might refuse to comply 😂 it actually works really nicely, I’ll upload it later. Thanks for the idea!

I just bound a key combo to enable and disable it. You could probably make a simple VS Code extension which did this for you with a timer (I think extensions can invoke other extensions actions) and then you bind a key to that instead I guess! I do like that idea of autosuggest timeout :)

Yeah I’d love to be able to dial it back a bit. Something like only showing very obvious completions instantly (basic autocomplete stuff) and then more “creative” ones coming in after a delay or when triggered might work. I also find it stops me thinking, I bound a shortcut for Cursor Tab for now
