I enjoyed the casual mode in Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology since I already had played the original DS version and it cut out the mook fights.

(Plus you could engage with the enemy if you really wanted.)

My NSO #VirtualBoy finally got delivered this afternoon, so feels like an appropriate time for this GIF.

Imagine how callous one must be to post crap like that willingly. >.>

The fibromyalgia pain I’m dealing with this afternoon is god awful. 😣

Rabi-Ribi, if you enjoy Metroidvanias and in particular sequence breaking, after the first run when you know the secret techniques, you can essentially route the game however you want.

I sadly expected this from this POS Supreme Court, but still sucks to see the ruling nonetheless. >.>

Not sure if it’s an iOS 26 thing or not, but my credit union’s debit card apparently can be added to the Wallet app as an Apple Pay option.

That’s pretty neat. 😀

I usually get the Pro models because they gimped the normal ones in some way, but this year I’m trading in my 15 Pro for the base model since it has ProMotion finally. Plus the colors are fugly.

I really, really like the purple color this year. (Would have loved pink, though…)

I keep my OLED for pixel-based and sub-720p games that look awful scaled up on the Switch 2.

(Granted I play in handheld mainly, so this wouldn’t be as much of an issue for docked players.)

Hot take: Every game should be released in weekly 5-hour episodes, just like TV shows. Hot take: Every single player story-based game should be released in weekly 5-hour episodes, just like TV shows. Drop a new episode every Friday. Keep it tight, focused, and end each one with a bange...

www.resetera.com/threads/hot-... This easily has to be the stupidest take I’ve seen on the gaming side of the forum, and that’s a high bar to clear to begin with. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Donkey Kong Bananza is so incredibly fun to play, my first 15m were literally just breaking things in the very first room, even though there was no reason to.

Got to the town area in the first real level before calling it quits for tonight.

If you hadn’t done it already, there’s a neat beta menu (undummied in the fan translation) if you hold L & R while going into the status menu.

This feels relevant given the news that came out today. #Xbox

I wonder if that last screenshot is where Big Rigs got inspiration for its infamous “You’re Winner” text. 😆

I’m excited to replay Hyrule Warriors, since they accidentally made it so portable runs at 1080p natively.

Supposedly the frame rate dips are basically gone now.

I hope more of those upgrade patches roll out (the free ones that just fixed the resolution and such), since a few of my Switch 1 games look really bad upscaled to the 1080p screen.

TMS#FE is one glaring example.

It’s amazing how many posters in ResetERA’s Liquid Glass thread are showing their rears in terms of jumping to post anti-Apple hot takes or not understanding how what a developer beta is. >.>

The biggest mistake I see in discussions of trans people's healthcare is the idea that hormones and the like are some special service just for us when really all kinds of people access the same health care for all kinds of reasons but they are *withheld* from us because we are trans

Really hating my fibromyalgia today, was so bad I had to take a muscle relaxer during the day.

And that only dulled the pain somewhat. 😞

BBQ sauce is never a bad choice. :)

Had to book an Uber to go to bank. While it was a short distance, fibromyalgia makes that difficult.

Driver verbally mentions the distance like I wasn’t aware of it booking the ride. He then took out his phone and showed me the map.

Thankfully it stopped there, but I’m still shook up from it.

Holy crap, checked Walmart for giggles after brushing my teeth and they had the Mario Kart #Switch2 bundle in stock (for release date delivery).

Got the order confirmation email, so I think I’m good?

That is such a great manga.

For whatever reason I’ve never actually gotten around to playing Lufia II’s Ancient Cave minigame.

…it’s shockingly alarming how easy it is to lose hours to playing said minigame, I must admit.

It’s sad to the point that The Onion can’t even make jokes about what they’re doing, because anything they’d come up with would actually be better than the Trump administration’s insanity. >.>

I must be extremely lucky, I haven’t run into drift on any of my prior controllers before.

Wonder if it’s maybe because I play slower-paced games like puzzlers, JRPGs, etc?

Glad to hear they put hall effect in the new JoyCons.

Panel 1

Gustopher is playing a classic game as his Dad watches. Mewbert is also supervising.

August: Crouch three times and punch the wall for a health item.

Gustopher: How did you know that?

Panel 2

August begins the explain the logic of older games. Mewbert gets bored and something is behind the couch.

August: Older games can be weird but they start making sense after you play enough.

Gustopher: Oh... Okay.

Panel 3

Mewbert falls asleep.

Gustopher: Now I'm stuck.

Panel 4

August provides some of his wisdom and Mewbert is suddenly awakened.

August: Combine the mayo with the flute and give it to the crying squid while crouching.

Gustopher: THAT MAKES SENSE TO YOU?

It also turns out the crouching does nothing. August just happened to crouch a lot when he played the game and assumed that was an important element.

I think one of the main draws for me in playing any new game is reaching a new town/village and seeing all the places and people I can interact with.

I love to sightsee when I play my games too! That’s a big part of it for me tbh.
