Welcome written by Alison Green has the familiar comfort of illustrations by Axel Scheffler. It is a book of friendship and how they can be created with love and kindness. Donations to Three Peas charity (supporting refugees in Europe) are given with every purchase.

It’s been a long time since I had the pleasure of sitting on the floor of a book shop. I had the loveliest time exploring. I came away with many books ready to share but these three blew me away. Sorry if I am late to the party…

First week of the hols means I find time to read for myself. Thanks @raesnape.bsky.social for recommending this book. The croquembouche would have been ended up on Cecelia’s head if I had been Piglet! An easy read and thoroughly enjoyable.

Amazing day with our Years 5 and 6. Cruise on the Thames, Pizza Hut and a tour/workshop in Parliament. For our little Leicestershire school, this was fantastic Personal Development for our children. Thank UK Parliament.
