This looks appealing and doable.
Fairly realistic proportions and human-looking face.
I can do animations here with the mix of Frame by Frame & Bones Animations.
More details in texture and stronger shading should help give it a more adult look If I decide to go for it.

Trying to lock in to an art style the project would use.
The original intent was something Death Beckons style, but now I'm leaning more towards Adventure Time / Pinstripe.
It can't look too childish, but also I'm quite limited in my drawing skills so still WIP.

Done with platformer. It's not perfect, but polishing it now is a fool's errand as not all elements are yet in place to see the full picture.
Interactions and Combat are next, then art and animations. Then I can start expanding on features and polish existing ones

While still graphically unpleasant, it actually so far is the best platformer system I have made. Its smooth, flexible and allows for a great amount of control.
The game will be built a lot around movement so it's a must to get it right so it feels good for the player

News #2 is that I have found several potential publishers for my main PC project and therefore I had to bring my full attention back to it.
I'm currently making some great progress there and will be posting some of it as I go. Might even stream some soon.
News #1 is that I've been developing top-down casual racing game.
Project is frozen for now. I have the working prototype / GD ready and will resume development at a later date as I want to avoid the creative burnout.
Went radio silent, but I will try to be more active now. I
don't know why I'm so episodic with my social activity, it's not that I needed a break. Sometimes I just feel like sharing and sometimes I feel like none of it matters 🤷♂️

Made a simple sword today and starting with the rigging.
I'm learning Blender to make a simple stylized game in #UE5 and this is pretty much the level of detail I want the game to have.
It will look cool and I'd make the best of my skill or lack thereof in Blender.

This helped realize that materials are botched when moved from Blender to Unreal regardless of export method used, but that's alright as I can just make these directly in Unreal (and it's more convenient for reuse anyway)
