🥺
That’s ridiculous.

I think I’ll hold off explaining this until I’m a little further in to this series. Happy ‘Roid Week, everyone!
That’s probably the remjet. You might find you got pictures after you remove that.
A storefront has a sign over it that says “Old Time Photos”. There are sample pictures in the window, and a carousel horse just inside. The glass front of the storefront reflects the buildings on the opposite side of the street.
Old Time Photos
Closing out my contributions to the #FP4Party with a photo I take over and over wherever I find it, the Old Time Photos stand in damned near every resort town. I always wish they were making tintypes, or at least shooting film. I […]

All of the Founders' worst fears about how American democracy could go off the rails - lack of separation between church and state, a populist demagogue assuming dictatorial powers - are happening just in time for the 250th birthday
I got a library card a couple of weeks ago and was delighted and amazed to see that my library has a collection of zines for people to read on site. This in a overwhelmingly conservative town. Yay libraries!
The May 1 general strike is in less than two weeks. I believe it has to succeed for American democracy to have a fighting chance

Two people and a dog sit on a bench in front of a candy store that has a large sign over its door reading “Dolles Salt Water Taffy”. To the left is a pizzeria that also offers Subs, Grinders, Steaks (and has a drawing of an Italian chef on the sign). To the right, Thrasher Fries (only the word Thrasher is visible) with a line of people in front of it waiting to get fries.

They used to be at the corner on the boardwalk in a prime location. And then they weren’t. This is a few steps from their old location. Nice to see them back. Leica R4, @ilfordphoto.com FP4+, divided D-76.

An ice cream stand on the boardwalk. A sign above the window says “Starkey’s Over 100 Ice Cream Flavors Cones Sundaes Shakes”. An anthropomorphic ice cream cone with a big smile is on a surfboard. The windows are closed with steel shutters. Below the windows a sign says “Over 100 Ice Cream Flavors”, with the word “Ice” partially covered in snow. Below that a sign says “Sundaes” will illustrations of what they look like.

Over 100 ice cream flavors. Not the place that offers booger flavored ice cream; that’s around the corner. Leica R4, @ilfordphoto.com FP4+, divided D-76.

All of his businesses and property should be nationalized and dissolved and he should be stripped of literally every single asset and dollar. Put him in public housing and let him live off of whatever UBI the next Congress passes.
It will never stop pissing me off how much trump is going to walk away from this presidency as a “real” billionaire in a way he never was before, and it is going to be solely because of the public office

Polaroid Week starts tomorrow. I still have to finish my project, but it should be pretty straightforward. This is a photo I shot to find out what kind of film I had loaded in one of my cameras. It has nothing to do with my project. Mint […]

The texture of the bark really stands out in the black and white shots. It looks almost abstract compared to the naturalistic look of it in the color versions.
The farther you get from New York, the harder it is to get a New York slice that’s edible.
Or at least pinhole camera kits.
Someone in a winter coat opens the door at the corner of a building where a sign hangs out over the sidewalk at that corner saying “Wifey’s Queer Bar 1943 N. Rampart New Orleans, LA”. A flag hangs from the building (Louisiana state flag?)

A hamburger stand takes up the corner of a building on the boardwalk. Families with young children wait for their orders. A Coca-Cola sign on the front says “Hamburgers French Fries” to the left of the Coke logo, and “Gus & Gus Place Fried Chicken” to the right. Another Coca-Cola sign on the side of the building says “Fried Chicken” to the left of the Coke logo and “Hot Dogs & Submarines” to the right.

HC-110 is notoriously good at cutting through fog. I’ve developed 90+ year old film with it and gotten no fog (it took some other techniques to manage that trick too….)
I wrote a blog post a few years ago that described the approach.

HC-110 is probably the best developer for blasting through fog, and by upping the amount of chemistry, it seemed to basically outrace the fog. On this 99 year old film, there was no fog.
A storefront in a strip mall has a sign on the fascia reading “Trattoria Lombardi’s”, with “Lombardi’s” in a script face. Other signs on the wall below read “Pizza", “Pasta", and "Carryout Liquor Beer Wine”.
Trattoria Lombardi’s
We tried eating at this place our first night in Ocean City but got there five minutes after they closed. I think we ate there later that weekend. I shot this mainly because my wife’s last name is Lombardo, so it’s almost like […]

Think I might try adding some benzotriazole when I shoot and develop mine. Or maybe use the tricks I use on ancient film like cold development or a ridiculous HC-110 dilution like 1:10.
Done.
The first one I saw said they had sold three and had two more available. I wouldn’t want to be one of those three alleged buyers.
Okay, this is funny. I stumbled across some listings on eBay for a Leica M6 with three lenses. All have the identical photos, and the sellers have minimal feedback, like 0 or 1. Prices ranged from $668.88 to $1271.99.
Kinda sorry BlueSky is back. It was nice and peaceful here without it. Got a lot done.
