Software for Good is joining local businesses in closing on Friday, the 23rd, in solidarity with these organizations, striking workers, and everyone affected by ICE’s actions in Minnesota and beyond.

Community, labor, and faith groups have called for a Day of Truth and Freedom on Friday, January 23 — “no work, no school, no shopping” to send the message “ICE Out of Minnesota.”

In Minnesota, where most of our team is based, we’re directly affected — when our kids’ schools and daycares are closed, when we watch out for ICE in our neighborhoods, and when we and our loved ones live in fear of racial profiling and retaliation. This is not right and we can’t stay quiet.

Like you, our team has been hurting this month. We’re heartbroken by the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent. We’re outraged by ICE’s aggressive abductions of our neighbors and its intentional campaign of terror.
