Finished my first figure! Coming in at 10 inches tall, it took about a week to paint and I learned a lot of things to apply moving forward.

Added a layer of primer and gray acrylic ink to give it a base layer to build on. Started by dry brushing to bring out textures and see where I’d like highlights to land moving forward.

Starting my first larger sized figure with this #PrincessMononoke figure from #NomNomFigures! Printed on an #ElegooSaturn416kUltra using a blend of ABS and Nylon like resins.

I’ve got some improvement to do so I have less post-processing work to get it ready for priming but it should be fun!

Brushing on a base layer of #tamiya #paint might be a little time-consuming but with a little patience I’m finding that they take on a solid, opaque, and smooth look. These base layers are only two coats thick in some places. I could use the airbrush but I’m having fun mixing and applying by brush.

Just got my first set of #Tamiya paints from scalehobbyist.com - fantastic prices and a wide variety of products to choose from. They came highly recommended by a friend for #airbrushing and even some light brushwork. I’m looking forward to seeing how things go learning to paint with these.
