40k is a bit short for traditional publishing, a novella rather than a YA novel, and 130k maaaay be pushing it, however it's not an exact science and varies between publishers. The 'sweet spot' area they tend to look at is 70-90k for debutes (100-110k for fantasy).

If you want an agent and to be published by a larger company, don't self publish that piece. Most publishers won't buy a self-published book. Secondly, you can use Query Tracker to find an agent that's open in your genre.
