Slidin' one into an envelope as we speak, friend

Not to blow my own horn but I made a four-cheese frittata this evening that had me doing the Kermit/Bale nodding meme to myself after trying the first mouthful
LOOK IN MY DEFENCE THE SELLER WAS DOWN TO THE LAST TWO COPIES
Considering a Lumibricks set that's... 3170 pieces...
If I had to imagine his backstory I would assume that one day he popped and, well...
Ayyy, Pringles Breakfast Guy (the dude I often see enjoying a whole can of the crunchy stuff first thing in the morning as I walk to work) is back, I hadn't seen him for a while
I salute you man, and hope that you're slowly constructing an elaborate sculpture of some kind out of all the empty tubes
The 37th pulp novel featuring The Spider, unfortunately titled 'The Devil's Death-Dwarfs'
Beginning to suspect that the 1930s pulp novels I sporadically read are not, in fact, high art
Happy birthday, @benpirrie.bsky.social! Hope you have a fabulous one! ๐๐๐
I mean 90% of my observance of other people's media reactions falls into "I'm not sure this material warrants the strength of your emotional reaction" tbh so I am willing to accept this might be a me thing
I only pick up comics singles every couple of months these days, so it's always a weird experience to sit through weeks and weeks of people in paroxysms of absolute rage decrying Skybound's unforgivable crimes... and then eventually read the most blandly inoffensive issues you could ever imagine
Ohoho, TFNation crew - looks like there's a new Nashville chicken place there now
Time to eat a potentially life-threatening number of wings and tendies I guess
Nono, it clearly says the new Transformers is in The Works
Clearly the franchise is in trouble if the latest movie is not only going straight to DVD but also that DVD is only available at a popular UK discount store chain
Zeus: My wife says the Romans have chosen a new name for her
Athena: Juno?
Zeus: No, I wasn't really listening
Athena: ...get out

The Funwhole/Lumibricks steampunk "Light Catcher" airship all finished and on its display stand
The airship in a pitch-black room with its lights turned on
A closeup of the engines all lit up
Another view of the airship showing the lighting off - this sucker is bright
They can't keep getting away with thiiiiiiis
They all come out so well, and the builds - with the wiring - are pleasantly challenging (in a very interesting but doable "you might have to give younger children a hand I guess" way, not a frustrating way)
round
This is what we've been saying; you don't need an algo shoveling more of what you already like, you need the radio playing you songs you didn't choose and second-hand stores filled with books with cool covers and a choice of only four TV channels and to just go see whatever's on at the movies
We started arranging our food orders in the style of D'Onofrio Kingpin and now we can't stop
"hnnnBUCK... I require... the pepperoniandBEEF... hhhhand don't forget... the side order of mozzarella sticks for... hhhVANESSAGGHHH"
The Pantasy Moomin House set complete with the six included figures - Moomintroll, Moominmamma, Moominpappa, Snork Maiden, Snufkin and Little My
The house opened up to show the six rooms within
A closeup on the detail in the attic and Moominpappa's study
A closeup on the detail in the parlor and dining room
And 1757 pieces later, the Moominhouse that @spriteling113.bsky.social gifted me is complete! A fantastic set with a fun build; I always appreciate when all the detail is made from regular bricks instead of custom parts.
Transformers Missing Link Ultra Magnus as a car carrier accompanied by Deerstalker as a buggy and Spike in a li'l tank drone
Ultra Magnus in robot mode, accompanied by Deerstalker - also in robot mode - and Spike who now has to walk like a chump
They gone done it again, smdh
Slightly misty view from a hilltop
The view of the track along the hill
A medieval church with cemetery filled with yew trees
A yew arch/kind of animal
Been out and about getting my fresh air on
Transformers Missing Link Ultra Magnus
THE ABSOLUTE BOOOOOOY
IMO this is why most nostalgia projects end up ultimately unsatisfying: they either slavishly recreate something the audience is no longer capable of experiencing in the same way or alter it to try and suit the audience in a manner that removes the things they used to love about it
A lot of people refuse to relate their media relationships to personal... not 'growth' but *change*, which is odd because it's the one inevitability
I don't like stuff I used to! I like stuff I didn't use to! I relate to stuff from my childhood differently as an adult! It would be odd if I didn't!
Have a great time at Manchester TFNation Minicon this weekend, buds! Wish I was there!
The Pantasy Moomin House Lego-like set
A nice 80th anniversary Moomin canvas bag
Surprise gifts from my BFF @spriteling113.bsky.social ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
What a start to a Thursday
NOTHING BETTER HAPPEN TO MY BOY JACQUES, HE'S THE ONLY LIKABLE CHARACTER IN THE WHOLE SHOW ๐ฉ
Time to distract myself from the horrors of this wretched world by watching Daredevil, the fantasy series about a known criminal being elected to political office and then unleashing a bunch of violent thugs cosplaying as law enforcers onto local communities
TFN all booked for Wednesday to Mondaaaaaay ๐๐๐
I'll see you - yes, YOU - in beautiful Birmingham for shenanigans this Julyyyyyy
Can't wait, friendos
The last remaining missing MST3K went up online today so now I can honestly say that I've watched every episode ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
This has very much been my "reel of Doctor Who found in a shed"
